SYNOPSIS
The movie “Celebrity Marriage” was basically about the lifestyle of the married and unmarried celebrities, what married celebrities faced in the hands of their spouses as a result of their high status in the society or what their spouses also faced in the hands of their celebrity spouse as a result of their high status. The movie centered majorly on four different couples Farouq and Rita (Acted by Odunlade Adekola and Toyin Abraham); Tubosun and Steph (Acted by Felix Omokhodion and Tonto Dike); Lotanna and Anu (Acted by Jimmy Odukoya and Roselyn Ngissah); Emeka and Felicia (Acted by Francis Odega and Chioma Nwosu). It also centered on Mr. Gabriel (Kanayo O. Kanayo), Victoria (Jackie Appiah), Joan (Susan Peters) and Juliet (Calista Okoronkwo).
Farouq’s wife- Rita was a famous actress and writer who only appeared in the public with a smiling face but never smiled at home; whenever she returned home, her husband Farouq always welcomed her with series of beatings. Tubosun was the heir of multi-billion dollars telecommunication company- Unique Communication which his uncle- Mr Gabriel was overseeing until he was ready to take over. He married Steph unknown to him that she was working with his uncle to collect the company from him. Lotanna was a famous singer who was always high on cocaine. He married Anu the daughter of Mr. Gabriel because of her father’s money. While Felicia was also an actress but never gave her husband peace of mind or respect. Want to know more about the movie?

PLOT
It is Tubosun (Felix Omokhodion) and Stephanie’s (Tonto Dike) wedding but Stephanie sneaks out of the wedding party to go have a quick sex with Tubosun’s uncle- Mr. Gabriel (Kanayo. O. Kanayo), who happens to be the chairman on her wedding day. Tubosun along with others notice that Steph has been away from the reception for too long though she used stomach ache as an excuse. Some of the brides’ maids go and search for Stephaine. Meanwhile Steph and Mr. Gabriel have finished having sex. On her way back to the hall, she stumbles on her ex boyfriend Lotanna (Jimmy Odukoya) who tries to find out why she has been missing in action for long on her wedding day, but Stephanie shuns him and finds her way back to the hall. Stephanie and Mr. Gabriel are back in the hall with none suspicious that the two were together a couple of minutes ago. While giving his speech, Mr. Gabriel advises the new couple to be patient. He later presents them with a car and leaves the party afterwards.
Meanwhile, Victoria (Jackie Appiah), a colleague of Steph in the movie industry did not attend her wedding. She gets to hear from their blogger friend Joan (Susan Peters) that Steph got a car gift on her wedding day and she screeches.
Farouq (Odunlade Adekola) and his celebrity wife Rita (Toyin Abraham) are outdoor together. Rita is Steph’s colleague too in the movie industry but she did not attend her wedding because her husband doesn’t allow her go out often. A male fan of Rita stumbles on her and in his excitement hugs her firmly. This doesn’t go down well with Farouq who feels Rita’s male fan may have touched her breast while hugging her. Immediately the fan leaves them, Farouq turns to his wife- Rita and embarrasses her in the public.
Lotanna (Jimmy Odukoya) is another celebrity. He is a famous musician. Lotanna and his wife- Anu (Roselyn Ngissah) who is the daughter of a multi billionaire and the CEO of Unique Communication- Mr. Gabriel (Kanayo o Kanayo) are always at fighting. Lotanna married her because of her father’s money and to boost his career. Lotanna hates the fact that Anu is fat so whenever they go for an occasion together, he stays away from her. On Step and Tubosun’s wedding day, he makes no attempt to check on Anu. Anu is upset with him for not checking up on her at all during the wedding. Not wanting to exchange words with Anu, Lotanna leaves the house.
Rita and Tubosun are on their honeymoon. Rita reads the information on the piece of paper Mr. Gabriel had given to her. Tubosun soon joins her in the room and they have a nice time together.
Ify (Francess Ben) is another celebrity but unmarried. She however likes to sleep with married men. A woman- Maggie (Nana Serwaa) catches her on her matrimonial bed with her husband and this makes her run out of the house in bra for the fear of being killed by Maggie. Ify stumbles on Emeka (Francis Odega), the husband of another actress- Felicia, who offers to drop her at her destination automatically saving her from Maggie’s wrath oblivious that his wife Felicia (Chioma Nwosu) is hiding in his boot because she thinks he is cheating on her. The continuous thumping coming from the back Emeka’s car makes him pullover to check what is in his boot. When he opens the boot, he sees his wife Felicia with a cutlass in her hand. Felicia gets off the boot and lifts her hand to harm Ify with the cutlass, thinking she is the lady sharing her husband with her. Ify sensing danger resumes running till she is inside the apartment where she is squatting with her friend Cindy (Chinenye Uyanna). Cindy asks Ify what the problem is, but she says nothing. Cindy joins Ify in the room and advises her to stop sleeping with married men.
Meanwhile Felicia still thinks her husband is cheating on her with all those young actresses. She punishes her husband- Emeka and asks him to pound yam as well as wash the bitter leaf. As Emeka is washing the bitter leaf, Felicia threatens to throw him back on the street if he doesn’t hurry up. Felicia’s words infuriates Emeka and he stops washing the bitter leaf. They both exchange words and this time Felicia is the one hurt by his words. He makes an attempt to leave her house but she pleads with him not to leave. Emeka warns Felicia not to ever ask him to cook if she wants him to stay.
SEASON 2
Victoria (Jackie Appiah) is another actress. She is a bisexual. She once dated Anu’s husband Lotanna (Jimmy Odukoya) and she is still in love with him, even though she is married to a footballer who is hardly home. When Victoria’s friend- “Joan the blogger” (Susan Peters) pays her a visit; they both gist non-stop. Victoria tells Joan how her ex-boyfriend Jude (Thin Tall Thony) cheated on her with another actress and about her secret wedding to a footballer. Joan suggests that they post about her secret wedding on the internet but exaggerate the story. Both exaggerate the price of the diamond ring given to her by her husband and the manner in which he proposed to her in order to drive traffic.
Rita (Toyin Abraham) while set to go for an entertainment award is again beaten by her husband Farouq (Odunlade Adekola). Farouq forbids her from going to the occasion and ruins her night. Rita returns to her room with a wet face.
Agnes (Princess Shyngle) is another unmarried actress, she is a lesbian. She and her girlfriend- Nkechi (Charity Awoke) are having an argument. Cindy hears their argument from inside, walks up to them and reminds them that she doesn’t condone lateness in her house, but Agnes still furious with her lesbian partner- Nkechi tells her to shut up.
Farouq again is having another argument with his wife- Rita concerning her statement in a live interview where she had advised women not to let men rule their world. This doesn’t go down well with Farouq who feels Rita is indirectly telling the public that she is the husband while he Farouq is the wife. As the argument grows thicker, Farouq tries to beat his wife again but Victoria walks in on them. They immediately comport themselves and pretend to be at peace with each other. Farouq welcomes Victoria and shows his admiration for her movies after which he gives his wife and friend some privacy. Victoria asks Rita why she did not show up at the entertainment award where she actually won an award, but Rita says it is family emergency. Victoria is able to figure out that the reason Rita did not show up at the event is because of her brutal husband. Victoria advices Rita to voice out and put an end to the constant beating from her husband, but Rita ignores her. Victoria reminds Rita about her interview as well as Ini Edo’s bikini party. Farouq soon enters the living room again interfering in their discussion. Speaking in another language not known to Victoria, he tells his wife to send Victoria away. Victoria is able to tell that Farouq wants her out of the house based on the title of the movies he asked if she featured in. The movies such as “It is time for you to go” “What are you still waiting for” The actress getting the message, leaves the house for them.
Agnes goes to apologize to Cindy for snapping at her the other day she returned home late. Cindy accepts her apology but makes her know that it happens agains, she may be forced to ask her to leave her house.
Tubosun (Felix Omokhodion) and Stephanie (Tonto Dike) have their first argument. Tubosun wants to go for his PHD in order to take over the company but Steph doesn’t want him to. Steph shows her disapproval telling him that if he goes for his PHD, they won’t have time to make babies. Meanwhile she is always using contraceptive in order not to get pregnant for him. One of the reasons she married Tubosun is to ensure that he doesn’t go for his PHD so he doesn’t take over his father’s company. Stephanie moves over to the closet where she recalls her chat with Tubosun’s uncle- Mr. Gabriel (Kanayo. O. Kanayo) on their plan to take the company from Tubosun.
Tubosun and his Uncle- Mr. Gabriel are together. He tells Mr. Gabriel to keep handling the company that he is not ready to go for his PHD. Mr Gabriel reminds Tubosun about renewing the contracts of some celebrities as ambassadors of the company. Mr. Gabriel tells Tubosun that if his son-in-law Lotanna’s (Jimmy Odukoya) contract will be renewed, then they will need to run a test on him to ascertain that he has not been taking cocaine.
Lotanna again shows his dislike for his wife- Anu’s fatness. He tells her that he won’t want to be seen in public with her.
Emeka (Francis Odega) goes over to Ify’s (Francess Ben) place to apologize for his wife- Felicia’s (Chioma Nwosu) behavior. She hugs him as a sign of true forgiveness. But Felicia shows up again with a cutlass and Ify runs inside. Felicia threatens to deal with Emeka, while Emeka just stares at her.
Lotanna goes over to see his manager Lakeside (Osita Iheme), who asks him if he has been taking cocaine, to which Lotanna replies yes. Lakeside is not happy about it, because it will show in the test and at the end, Mr. Gabriel will not renew his ambassadorship deal again. Lotanna promises to fix the issue.
Emeka returns home and finds a cool headed and loving Felicia which is unlike her. He is at loss for words because some moments ago, she had threatened to kill him and Ify with a cutlass. Felicia offers Emeka a drink and as soon as he starts drinking, she brings out a powdered charm and splashes it on him in order to make him obey all her commands, but the charm doesn’t work on Emeka.
