THROWBACK MOVIE: HAND OF DESTINY
When Frank’s(Ken Erics) parent died in a car accident, Anene’s family took him in and raised him as their son.
One day, Anene’s father died and things became difficult for all of them. There was no money for both Anene (Cha cha Eke) and Frank to further their education; all they had in their hand was just the good jamb result.
However, Frank had an outstanding jamb result that won him a scholarship into a university of his choice; automatically settling his University bill.
Seeing how depressed Anene was, Frank forfeited his education for Anene’s. He went to the foundation that had given him the scholarship and pleaded that they should give him money in exchange for the scholarship; his request was granted. He was given 1 million naira for his scholarship and he immediately spent it on Anene’s education rather than his. He went to Anene’s University and paid for all her education up to her master’s degree.
Along the line, Anene soon discovered that she and Frank where not related. So, she dragged Frank (Ken Erics) into doing a blood covenant with her and promised never to marry or sleep with any other man except him. Frank reluctantly took the vow with her as she threatened to turn down all he did for her concerning university. As time went on, they both fell in love and Ken’s business expanded.
Few months to graduating from the University, Anene met a handsome dude- Lawrence (Smith Nnebe) and instantly fell in love with him.Lawrence was the son of the sitting governor. Unable to resist Lawrence’s charm, Anene approached Frank and pleaded with him to let her go that she was not interested in him again. Frank refused to let her go. This suddenly made Anene despise Frank, the man she had vowed to be with forever. She constantly called her husband an illiterate and she hyped herself as a master degree holder. Anene did all sorts to make Frank hate her but the more she misbehaved the more Frank liked her.
Anene even passed the hatred to her only child for him.
She resented Frank and kept compelling him to break the vow she had forced him into by willingly letting her go, since that was the only way the oath could be broken, but Frank wouldn’t agree because he was irrevocably in love with her. Anene sought ways to kill Frank, but it didn’t work. She doesn’t even cook for Frank~ her husband, but that still didn’t make Frank’s heart stop loving her.
But oneday, her best friend- Chinwedu (Richrel Okonkwo) came into their house with a scheme and this changed the whole life of Frank who had been suffering as well as put a stop to his torment by his wife. Want to know if Anene’s bestfriend betrayed her? Find out here.
