Nollywood actor, Olalekan Olatunbosun Afolabi known professionally as Murphy Afolabi was born on Sunday, 5th May 1974 in Osogbo, Nigeria. He had most of his education in the South-West region part of Nigeria. He studied Theatre Arts at the Osun State Polytechnic in Iree.
Murphy Afolabi died on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 in Lagos some minutes after he slipped in his bathroom. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead. Not so much is known about Murphy Afolabi’s family. However, some of his family members are based in Osun.
Murphy Afolabi was never married but he had a child by the name of Moyosore Afolabi.
Murphy Afolabis acted majorly in Yoruba movies. He was one actor I always looked out for in movies. He was an interesting actor and a fantastic role interpreter who made Yoruba movies very interesting. I enjoyed watching his movies, they never bore me. He has a unique way of reciting those incantations. Murphy usually acted as Herbalist or police or a thief.
