MY HERO, MY SOUL MATE IS GONE

In a distant sky
Where have you gone
Why did you die?
When I first saw you, you stole my heart
And until this awful day
We have never been apart
Where do I start?
How do I express the depth of the anguish?
Who do I tell?
What do I say?

Akanijo, Omoagbeluaje, omoojilonkanbebe

You were me and I was you
We were one person in two bodies
You were not only my husband
You were my father, brother, friend and lover.
Our dream was to live together to a ripe old age
We talked about it, we planned it.
We knew we would forever be for each other.

When the children would have gone their separate ways, we mold them together.
I never knew it would be like this, I never knew it would end so abruptly…
You were my everything, you were the wings on which I fly.
You were a wonderful and most caring husband
Also, you were the best father, grandfather, best friend, cofidiant, and so much more
You were intelligent and God gifted you with the spirit of love
You had God~given ability to make people comfortable, and you had a forgiving spirit
We were married for 40 years, and they were the best years of my life.

I will miss you, your children will miss you, your grandchildren will miss you, your siblings will miss you, and your political family will miss you.
But forever, I will cherish those wonderful memories
I will remember those special ways you treated me and made me feel very special

The music we made together with the understanding we had.
If there is reincarnation, as I have always told you, I will still choose you as my husband
Most importantly, I will cherish those moments that made our marriage unique.
But, I cannot question the will of God. I accept his will, and I know you are in a better place.

GoodBye my hero, goodbye my soulmate, goodbye my lover, the best husband any woman could ask for.

I Will forever love you
Your one and only Florie
