“JESU (JESUS!)!” in the voice of “Burna boy” in the song “Angelina” was my exclamation after viewing this song’ likewise the exclamation of a friend of mine @Eunice Osunde; and I am sure for many reading this review also. I was like, was it that bad that they couldn’t even wait to be out of the public before they started romancing each other.
Infact, #Eunice had to ask me “Does this video vixen- @Beverly Osu have a boyfriend? My reply was “Really, I don’t know”
But then I felt if Eunice was appalled by the manner in which the video vixen interpreted the song, then she had be over appalled after watching the video #Fake love by #Wizkid and Duncan Mighty”
Anyway, that’s by the way. Like you know, we like to take a gander at the lyrics before the main review. Enjoy the lyrics to the song below

THE REVIEW
Like you know, “MADU” is a track off his “No bad Songz “ album and it is his second studio album’
It is hard to pick out a particular theme for the song. At some point, he was saying “Madu”and“Aye” after which he moved to sexual talks about the lady- what exactly is the correlation.
I don’t really know what “Madu” has to do with this song. Madu is an Igbo word in Nigeria and when translated to English means someone. Also, “Aye” is a Yoruba word in Nigeria which means “World/life.”So, again I ask, what is the correlation of those two words with the entire song? Well, except the artiste already formed up another meaning for Madu and Aye.
To be honest, my view would be that the title of the track “Madu” doesn’t correlate with the entire song.

Lyrically, the song comes in two verses that have short four lines. He sang mostly in pidgin and fused it with some Yoruba words. He only used one Igbo word “Madu”. I just can’t decipher some words.
For instance, Kizz Daniel says the girl is like a sugar mummy. The last time I checked, a sugar mummy is an older woman who spends money on a younger person in exchange for sex- so how exactly does it apply to the song and the lady in question. O-kay, she is older than him or what? Is she the one spending on him? No, it can’t be, because in the verse 1, he sang “I want to use my money scatter your brain…”
The lyrics are so weak. In verse 2, Kizz sang “You carry load o, you carry, like a motor. Baby, nobody know oh, nobody no go know.” Excuse me, if a lady is endowed at the front and back, as per a girl that has big breasts and bumbum, even a blind man that moves close would be able to tell, not to talk of someone that has sight.
Then this line “E be you witchi witchi, wi-tchi wi-tchi, wi-gucci”was just so empty
Conclusively, the lyrics are so feeble.
The song- arrangement- Intro-Verse 1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Outro

BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG
In verse 1, “ Look at me baby” Kizz Daniel prides about his personality, wealth and sexuality to a lady (Acted by Beverly Osu) he is sexually attracted to. He tells the lady to look into his eyes to see how much he longs for her. He says he is a guy with so much sex appeal and swag. He says he will spend money on her in such a way that she won’t be able to think twice when it comes to matters about him. He invites her over to his sleeping quarters where he brags about his male organ and sexual prowess.
In the chorus, “I want to use my money to scatter your brain for you” the artiste intends to lavish money on her. He intends to use his money to confuse her thinking and leave her with on option. He wants only her badly that he seeks her permission to reallocate her move, so that there no child is formed during their sexual escapade. She is enticed by his offers and says she would pack her stuffs to his place “Mo ma ko wale”
In the verse 2, “E be you witchi witchi, wi-tchi wi-tchi, wi-gucci” he says the strong hold the lady has got on him is like when one uses voodoos on someone. He says she is endowed as per a lady that has big breasts and bumbum
“Baby, nobody know oh, nobody no go know” I really can’t connect this line to the entire song. Nobody go know about what?

WHAT IS THE SONG ABOUT
It is a sexual song that talks about how the artiste longs for a lady sexually. He desires her and he is ready to spend all he has on her to have her to himself, even if it means reallocating her womb so that no child is formed during their sexual escapade.

MEANING OF SOME WORDS
Cassava: A male with a big dick; Aye- This means life or world
Mo Pe: To be complete; Mo ma kowale~To pack to the house
Zaddy: Someone dapper or better still, a guy that is appealing sexually and has got swag
Scatter your brain: To make someone confused, unable to think again or concentrate or focus or think clearly, too much for you to bear at a time that you lose concentration
No lele: no qualms, no problem or no worries. Suffery~Easily, Gently
Batter: To hit and behave violently towards a person, especially a woman or child, repeatedly over a long period of time, or to hit something with force …
Winch~Someone that uses voodoos or has spiritual powers.
Charlie- Means a woman’s breast or fool; Charley in Ghana means one’s friend or buddy
LOCATION
It has both outdoor (street) and indoor (Restaurant) shoots. It was shot in Nigeria.
COSTUME
Costumely! Kizz wore one costume (Black suit) all through the video while the video vixen- Beverly Osu wore two (A a tube dress and a night wear.
SOUND
Melodious! Athough, at some point, his vocal was not clear. I love the drum beat, however, it also sounds like the same beat for Gina by Ghanaian artiste Becca which featured Kizz. Kizz’s tempo is faster compared to that of Becca. I love the fact that they brought back the beat after the interlude. Nice!
VIDEO PRODUCTION
The video complements the song. I love the visual effects. I was really feeling @ Beverly Osu’s moves. At some point, I felt Kizz Daniel was just inflexible, especially where Beverly threw him on the table in the #other room. However, towards the end of the song, he became flexible, expressive and his expressions reflected the message of the song. Great video!

JUST WONDERING
Does that really happen, people lose control in the face of a large gathering
OBSERVATION
The guy in the restaurant that was appalled by their action and almost poured the drink on the floor was in the video Able God by Chinko Ekun ft Lil Kesh and Zlatan (Which has been reviewed on this blog. View the review here @ http://www.ogefash.reviews) He acted as Brother lively.

THE REVIEW
I don’t think “Double double” is the best title for this song. The song talks more about the artistes’ intentions to settle down with a lady; with the right person. They sang about how they intend taking care of their ladies financially and materially. If they had titled it “Marry You” it would have made more sense.
Lyrically, the song comes in three verses done by Rudeboy, Phyno and Olamide respectively. The artistes sang in four different languages and they are Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo and Standard English. Rudeboy sang basically in pidgin, Phyno Igbo, while Olamide in Yoruba. I just really loved that Olamide’s verse. Although Olamide’s verse was the longest, it was the most melodious in the song. It was as if I should just yank it off and release it as a different song to please my ears non-stop. I am like “N-A-W-A-O“ Olamide no go gree, im no fit carry last for the matter. He really made the song lively and gave it a different tune.
Their lines flowed very well. However, in Rudeboy’s verse 1, I couldn’t connect the last two lines with the first two lines “…See I get this mission, transmission vision. And if you tell the police oh, dem go see confusion”
In Phyno’s verse 2, I could barely hear some words, especially the first and last lines. Olamide’s vocal was quite clear.
The song arrangement: Intro- Pre chorus- Chorus- Verse 1- Pere chorus- Chorus- Verse 2- Pre chorus- chorus- Verse 3- Pre chorus- Chorus- Outro.
The prechorus and chorus were sung three times each and taken by Rudeboy.
Lyrically, the song is meaningful. It talks about the intention of the artistes to settle down with a lady and really pamper her financially and materially.

BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG
In the Pre-chorus, “If I no marry you, na im be say I dey craze” Rudeboy shows readiness to marry a lady and says he is capable of taking care of her financially and materially. He says whoever tries to split them would be destroyed.
In the chorus, “Fire fire chase them all away” Rudeboy says anyone that wants to separate him and his significant other, fire will send them away. He also says the blessing around them will be doubled.
In the verse 1 “See, I get assurance..” Rudeboy guarantees his lady that he would do anything for her. He assures her that he has sufficient money to take care of her.
“See I get this mission…” doesn’t flow with the lines, except he was trying to bring back the humor in the one-time commissioner of police that was finding it difficult to pronounce the word “Transmission”
In the verse 2 “Chei, Ah, Oyinbo, Oyinbo” Phyno desires to meet a good lady that will make him happy. He says if he sees such lady, he would hold her down and never let her go. He will take care of her financially and materially. They will spend their holidays overseas and she would never forget the experience of being around him.
In the verse 3, “Famimo, famimora baby o” Olamide promises to love his baby and shower her with may expensive things like Gucci and Parada, if only she draws him closer to him. He says if the girl leaves him, he is in trouble and would never be himself. He promises never to share their love with any other lady. He promises the lady joy and faithfulness if only she loves him dearly as well as allow him touch her.

WHAT IS THE SONG “DOUBLE DOUBLE” BY RUDEBOY FT OLAMIDE AND PHYNO ABOUT
The word “Double Double” means “duplicate, two fold” In the context of this song, it means that a lady would have that which she desires in twofold if she eventually settles down with a truly wants to marry her.
The song “Double double” is no doubt a love song that talks about the artistes’ readiness to settle down with the lady they desire. They found the one their hearts desire and curse those who ever want to split their union. It also talks about how they intend to take care of the one they love financially and materially.

MEANING OF SOME WORDS
Relate- To talk or communicate; Asunder- To separate; Obodo Oyinbo- Abroad
LOCATION
The video was shot in Nigeria; they used a hall. It is an indoor shoot
COSTUME
Costumely! They were all on suits; although Phyno was really looking funny in his attire. The costume of all those that featured in the song as well as the artistes complemented the track.

THE SOUND
Melodious and danceable! It no doubt has the same beat with “Nobody ugly” like I said in the intro. Infact, it is not only Nobody ugly,it has theseme beat with Fada fada by Phyno, Bank alert by Psquare.
Their lyrics flowed well with the beat. The use of drums, the piano and guitar made the song pleasing to the ears. There was hardly any interlude or anytime where they allowed the beat play without singing.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
The video was done in a comic way; quite funny. I love the fact that they made the wedding look real (Not like the MTN Traditional Advert, where there were no gifts at all; not even one, haba!), at least we saw people bringing in goats (which got me laughing), chicken, yam, onions and other items. The video featured the three kids of Rudeboy.
I don’t like the fact that there were few close-up shots, mostly distant shots. The video had great lighting. I love the white balloons on the white background. However, it wasn’t too obvious which made it look like a vain effort. Think they should have opted for another color or made the balloon glaring. It looks like a studio work; more like the background was attached to the video.

THE REVIEW
So, like I said in the into, how will someone not dance foolishly if kokoro (ant) enters the persons pant- so ironical
Lyrically, the song comes in two short verses done by both Davido and Zlatan. The song has meaning as it basically talks about the acceptable manner a lady or someone should dance especially those with the big bums
The pre-chorus and chorus seem like the dominant lyrics in the song and it was sung three times each. The artistes sang both in Yoruba, English and Pidgin
The song arrangement- Intro- Pre chorus- Chorus- Verse 1 (Davido)-Pre chorus- Chorus- Verse 2 (Zlatan)- Pre chorus- Chorus- Outro
The lyrics are plain and repetitive!

BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG
In the prechorus, Jo kin jo Davido basically talks about the manner in which someone, a lady in particular should dance. He charges ladies to dance as if ants entered their pants. He also says they should dance like a rich person and not like a foolish person.
In the chorus, Fatty bumbum, big-gi bumbum Davido eulogizes a girl with big bum and says her waist shakes well
In the verse 1, My mama ju ibadi, baby oya ju ibadi (Baby shake your waist, baby shake your waist now) Davido calls his lady beautiful names like chahcha, omalicha and asks her to shake her waist. He also asks her to shake her bum while dancing for him. He thinks she is an unusual kind of girl. He invites her over to his sleeping quarters so they can get down.
In the verse 2, Wo! Akpati yen- Eniola Badmus, mo gbo pe eni caucus (Your backside like that of Eniloa Badmus, I heard you have a group) Zlatan first of all eulogizes a girls backside and relates it with that of Nollywood actress- Eniola Badmus. He also says that when people especially ladies hear you have lots of money like billions in your account, their eyes go wide open and come unto you like they want to feast on you. .
He further talks about the plenty money he has and says he has acquired plush vehicles like Rolls Royce and Bentley. He also says when you have money, people that have been ignoring your call before, will now hurriedly pick it.

WHAT DOES THE SONG BUM BUM BY DAVIDO AND ZLATAN MEAN
The song just emphasizes the manner in which someone should dance. They admonish people to dance with class, more like a rich person and not like a foolish person.

MEANING OF SOME WORDS
Olowo- Rich person; Oloshi- Foolish person
Ibadi- Waist; Chacha- Flawless, brand new, spackling, shining, bright
Omalicha- One who is beautiful; Belly dancer- One who dances with the belly
LOCATION
It is an outdoor shot. It was shot in Nigeria. It was shot on the street
COSTUME
They were all casually dressed. The costume complements the track;
SOUND
It is a fast tempo song and it is danceable. The use of percussion instruments and other instruments made the song pleasing to the ears.

VIDEO PRODUCTION
All through the video, I could not really feel that bond between Davido and Zlatan. It looked like Davido recorded his part separately likewise Zlatan. The song has this street-life language, so it is safe to say the video complements the track.
But wait o, which bum bum did ZLatan and Davido refer to as fatty bum bum? If na those girls wey dey attach their bum bum in front of the camera, dem no get big ass biko

(+ LYRICS) ON THE LOW BY BURNA BOY “BIKO, WHAT IS HE COMING TO DELIVER TO ANGELINA?”
Follow on IG @ Ogefash_july4

First of all, I have an issue with the word “Chokehold” he used in the intro “Baby you know I am in a chokehold”. I asked #Google and here is what it has to say about the word “Chokehold”. Chokehold means a tight grip around a person’s neck, used to restrain them by restricting their breathing. Well, perhaps, Burna boy means he can’t breathe if he doesn’t see Angelina or she is not around him. In essence, Angelina has Burna boy a chokehold anytime she is away from him; I am really trying to give meaning to that word in that particular line.
But that’s by the way, I really love this song; dope melody. Try listening to this song with your earphone on you, close your eyes (Biko (Please), when you are indoor ni o); hint me, what was the feeling?

THE REVIEW
Ewo wa ni Jesu? (Which one is Jesu) What has Jesu got to do with this song na? Spoilt child @ Burna boy
Lyrically, the song has meaning but the lyrics are not deep. It talks about a lady “Angelina” whom the artiste admires and longs to be around. The song was done in pidgin and has two short verses. The chorus was sung three times while the pre chorus was sung two times.
Each line is dependent on itself and not dependent on the next line especially the verse 2. If you ask me, the “Chorus- On the low” really has no correlation with the entire song; it is just a catchy phrase which succeeded in getting the attention of millions of music lovers. Although, the last line in the verse 1 flows with the chorus “…When we are making love- on the low

BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG
In the intro, “Kpokpotikpo kpo kpo kpo, Baby you know I’m in a chokehold” Burna boy explains the condition in which he is in because of the lady he so much desires. She leaves him breathless
In the chorus, “Angeli, Angelina, you dey cool my temperature” the artise says the lady Angelina is the only one that can make him relaxed or calm. Even when he is running a temperature, she is the one that can make it become less hot.
He also says anytime Angelina needs him around for anything, he would be at her service, surrender to her and never disappoint her. He praises her and also hopes the lady will love him forever.
In the verse 1, “Omi odo oh! Anytime wey I see you for the club, I dey television your body” the artiste reveals that anytime he sees Angelina in the club, he always stares at her. They are both funky and feel the energy and attraction around each other. The artiste says Angela is clever and he feels it would be useful when they are making love secretly.
In the pre-chorus, “On the low” the artiste means codedly, secretly, not to be announced or shouted.
In the verse 2, “Oh no! Shey when I want dey comot, make I signal you” the artiste reveals how he longs to always be around Angelina to the extent that he asks her if she would want him to give her a sign when he is about leaving. He further reveals his intention to settle down with her as well as be a better man.

WHAT IS THE SONG “ON THE LOW” BY BURNA BOY ABOUT
It is a love song that talks about a lady “Angelina”. The song talks about the effect Angelina has on Burna by. She makes him do and undo. She has the power to cool him down when he is warm. It also talks about how the artiste longs to be around Angelina even if it means doing nothing but just stare at her.

MEANING OF SOME WORDS
Vibe- Positive energy; I no go fall e your hand- I will not disappoint you
Comot- To go out, leave a place; On The Low: Something that’s a secret or supposed to be kept a secret.

SOUND
So melodious! The drums as well as the percussion instruments enhanced the beauty of the song. However, at some point, his vocal was not clear but it was expressive. The beat flowed with the lyrics as well.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
Burna boy’s videos are always so plain. So, what can I say about “on the low” video other than a very simple video; no nudities; good. The visuals are clear. The video also complements the track.
I noticed that his name and the title of the song were displayed on two different occasions in the video (The beginning and the end); that was uncalled for, it is not a movie.
JUST WONDERING
Biko (Please), what is Burna boy coming to deliver to the girl
Did they have to write the title and artiste of the song twice, at the beginning and end

Vibe is short for vibration. The vibe of a cold rainy day is feeling sad because it is dreary. If someone is really excited and seeing them makes you feel excited too them you feel their vibe. @catherineavm: It means you can sense the energy of the situation. A person’s emotional state or the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others. ‘we’ve been picking up some badvibes on that guy’. For instance if you vibe them it sort of means informally, I feel you/know you and we’re on the same wavelength or ‘vibe’. In other words, you can really empathize with somebody because you can vibe them.
