MERCY JOHNSON OKOJIE SHUNS HUSBAND IN THIS FAMILY PICTURE

Follow on IG@ogefash_july4

MERCY JOHNSON is one of Nollywood’s finest actors. If you are a fan of the actress, you would have noticed that she has been uploading various pictures on her social media back to back.

Some days ago, she shared pictures of herself while working out.

She also shared a cute picture of her and her husband beside a bicycle.

Today, the talented actress shared pictures of herself with their three kids. However, the husband was not in the picture. She did not really shun the husband, perhaps it is called “The mother with kids picture” so we are expecting “The father with kids picture” or just a picture of the entire family.

8 ATTITUDES THAT GIVE YOU AWAY AS A SHOPPING ADDICT!

Shopping addictions By Oge Nwabueze

I have come to realize that every lady, well may be 99.8%, love the word ‘Shopping’ because it is fun and thrilling, especially when you have got the cash. But hey, be careful! What you thought could bring a spark on your face, might just end up ruining your day, leaving you with a feeling of guilt.  In essence, some ladies shop like there is no tomorrow; just like most men are addicted to alcohol, they are so obsessed with shopping.

Fine, I know you have got your eyes fixed on a variety of items. From the latest sleek phone, to that kitchen item you so want to get. Not to talk of the gold neck piece you have had your eyes on; the dresses, make up, bags, and those ‘’killer’’ heels that are just too adorable that you just can’t wait to lay your hands on and an endless list of personal items.

But the truth of the matter is that when this shopping becomes excessive, you become an addict because of the inability to control the urge to ‘’buy-buy’’. You buy every ‘pick-me-up’ object (things that are flashy and eye-catching). Funny as it may sound, even when you are in the toilet, bathroom, kitchen, or even on transit, your mind is constantly on the next item to purchase, with or without cash. Most times you cannot even concentrate on a particular thing this is because your attention is constantly divided.

I know you do not even mind spending the whole day at the supermarket, since that is what you do at leisure, (maybe you are even one of those ladies that put it as a ‘hobby’ in your CV) and after shopping, you enter the house with a bag full of items, and with a smile lurked at the side of your mouth, you walk stealthily to your room, glad nobody saw you. This is because you definitely know that someone who is not a freak like you or feels you were just extravagant might end up scolding you.

As an addict, you also yearn for the newest and trendiest collections via Facebook, Instagram or any other social network just to satisfy your urge at all cost. Dearie! “Social media go crash your bank account o”. Because, there are so many hard to resist items online that will only trigger that shopaholic instinct in you, and trust me, a freak like you would definitely find it difficult to resist the temptation of ordering for them.

Since it is difficult for a compulsive shopaholic like you to get your eyes off fancy items and the latest products, especially when you come across them, most often, you end up buying what you did not plan for and accumulate both relevant and irrelevant things.

Most annoying is that you tend to unconsciously re-buy items you already have. In the long run, those piled up items would become useless or outdated. To save yourself from the mess, you try to quickly sell them off, but again, you end up buying a new item to replace the old.

This addiction is most likely to be associated with people that appear on screen, possibly presenters, politicians, musicians, actresses, footballers; popular figures in sum. They always want to look their best since they are always under public scrutiny. They go the extra mile to please their fans by always appearing flashy which of course turns them to extravagant people over time, and some, I guess, (like I heard Mariah Carrey has) even have separate rooms for each item. It may also be a habit that sprung from being over pampered as a kid.

If you have an uncontrollable shopping habit, you are prone to get neck deep in debt, especially at festive periods. This is because after you spend and exhaust your money, you end up borrowing from someone else in a bid to satisfy your urge.  If any other day is a Xmas spree, then what would you now tag festive periods ‘your guess is as good as mine.

So, girl friend you need to really control your spending habit else, it will end up affecting other aspects of your life. It could be your personal life, finance, secular, relationships, family, and possibly your job.

Actually, I am not asking you not to shop, but always remember that human needs are voracious. Therefore, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself! And this can only be achieved by keeping your spending under control, whether rich or poor.

Attitudes or symptoms of one who is addicted to shopping

  • Divided Attention
  • Always spending and living above income
  • Being secretive about the things bought in order not to be reprimanded
  • Lying about the actual amount of money used in purchasing those items
  • Impetuous buying/ Buying things not planned for
  • Always thinking about where and what to buy next
  • Salary finishes in the second week of the month or earlier
  • Thinking obsessively about how to lay hands on extra cash

Facts

  • Ask yourself to what extent do you really need those items
  • What is the probability that because of your impatience, you have not purchased a fake product
  • Can you use everything at the same time, remember some might become old fashioned or be superseded by a better one, in this tech world, new things spring up before the count of seconds
  • Check your list again; maybe you shouldn’t be buying that item you picked. Trust me, you wont die if you do not buy it, but you can die gradually by buying it and running into debts.

Way out

  • Have a list of what you plan to buy, keep to that list, take the exact money, and possibly leave your ATM card at home. If the prizes of the items you want to buy have gone up, then drop an item, it is a way of learning to let go and avoid shopping addictions.
  • May be you can try going for shopping with someone that is not a freak like you, and please look for a better hobby

DANIELLA OKEKE EXPLAINS WHY SHE CHOSE ASS BUILDING OVER ASSET BUILDING

Follow on IG @ogefash_july4

“Ass building” as I love to call it, is also known as “Bum enlargement”. It is what is currently trending in the entertainment industry all over the world. Infact, attention has shifted away from the breast to the buttocks. In the early 90’s people wanted big boobs and did more of breast enlargement while people with big buttocks were always ashamed. But that is no longer the case; ladies are now all about enlarging their behinds at all cost.

Some of the celebrities that have enlarged either their bum, breast or some other parts of their body are Kim Kardarshian; infact all the Kardashians, Nicki Minaj, Cossy Ojiakor, Toyin Abraham, Ini Edo, Toke Makinwa, Iggy Azalea, Princess Shyngle, Black Chyna, Amber Rose, Jenna Jameson, Mercy Aigbe; the list is endless.

If I missed out a name, kindly share with other readers in the comment box (For both males and females)

American celebrities with various enhancements

Recently, I stumbled on this Daniel Okeke’s picture and I was like “Whaaaaat!” Not quite long I watched her movie titled “Lost pride” where her ass was small like mine only to stumble on an extremely big ass on her birthday. The reason the actress did this is basically to get more attention and nothing else. Imagine, she chose to build her ass rather than asset; omashe!

There is this story of a 2013 Nigerian ex-beauty queen- Nneka Onwuzuligbo who died after a buttock enlargement surgery that went awry. Reacting to her death Femi Fani Kayode, a well known Nigerian politician said ‘Vanity upon vanity”

Nigerian celebrities

It is amazing why people would spend their few thousands or plenty thousands to build an ass or enlarge their bum when dem no get kobo asset; smh

So why do these celebrities do these enhancements; for guys or non-guys?

ADVERT REVIEW: COLGATE’S ‘CLOSE TALKER’ “HOW CONVINCING IS THIS ADVERT?”

ADVERT REVIEW: COLGATE’S ‘CLOSE TALKER’ “HOW CONVINCING IS THIS ADVERT?”

Follow on IG @ogefash_july4

No doubt, some people avoid close conversations or keep a distance while conversing with people; perhaps, they fear they have a bad breath.

Well that was not the case of the major cast in this Colgate Total advert. Rather than keep at least few inches or an arms length of distance while conversing with others face to face, he instead loves to stand close to them; he was such a close talker.

THE ADVERT

It starts with a certain employee who is a close talker as well as a loyal Colgate toothpaste user. He loves to stand extremely close or better still put his face few inches away when conversing with people. So, he approaches a male colleague and tells him how much of a close talker he is. He also tells his colleague about the new “Colgate total”. His colleague says nothing but just stares at him.

Next, the close talker approaches another colleague, this time around a female. He also tells her about the new “Colgate Total” He says “The breakthrough formula does more,” but the woman only replies “Wonderful”

Next, he approaches two people, this time a man and a woman still telling them about the new “Colgate Total.” He says “Sensitivity; strengthens teeth; it kills germs through the whole mouth” The man replies “I love your confidence” while the woman just stares at him in an astonishing manner.

Next, the close talker approaches another male colleague and as usual, puts his face inches away from his. He tells him there is no such word like “too close” to which his colleague disagrees initially but later agrees to

ADVERT NARRATION

Close talker– I am a close talker, so I was excited about all new Colgate Total. Its breakthrough formula does more (Wonderful).                                                                                                Sensitivity, strengthens teeth. It kills germs through the whole mouth. (I like your confidence)  Close talker– (Thanks Mr. Lee)                                                                                                                      Close talker: Now, there is no such thing as too close; Colleague: Yes there is                                  Close talker: No there is not; Colleague Yes there is                                                                              Close talker: No, there is not; Colleague Okay                                                                                    All new Colgate; do more for your whole mouth.

MESSAGE IN THE ADVERT

Colgate Total toothpaste neutralizes bad breath. It leaves the mouth healthier breaking through the teeth, cheeks, tongue and gums. You certainly do not have to be scared of any stench from your mouth while conversing with others especially if you are a close talker.

SUMMARY OF THE ADVERT

The advert is about  a certain male employee who loves to stand extremely close to people when talking to them. As in, he loves to converse with people while his face is few inches away from them; he is such a close talker. So, this employee in his usual manner of conversing with people, tells all his colleagues about how effective the new “Colgate total” toothpaste is.

Also, the close talker is excited about using the new Colgate total because it neutralizes the mouth. Hence, it helps him to be a confident close talker.

THE REVIEW

This “Colgate Total” advert is called “The close talker”

#Google defines a close talker as someone who stands uncomfortably close to others while talking, which the major cast does while talking with people all through the 30 seconds video.

To be honest, if someone was always coming that close to me when conversing with me, “amma” think he is not alright. #Winks. Kidding, but that’s the truth!

The advert did not start out by identifying what the problem is, rather, it started out with a solved problem. The problem has to do with bad breath and people keeping their distance while conversing. The solution is the use of Colgate Total toothpaste which we see the close talker holding and showing his colleagues with confidence.

But really, the dude interpreted his role well as a close talker. He was also quite convincing which was essential if they really needed people to pick up Colgate Total toothpaste at the grocery store.

I must say the whole cubicle-type of office setting is on point. No doubt, the advert is also easy to comprehend, but does it have the strategy to push People into purchasing the toothpaste being adertised? Yes! We see the confidence in the close talker as well as no one squirmed while he talked..

REMARK

The advert is quite convincing and has the capacity to push people into buying the product

SOUND

Just instrumentals; interesting!
