First of all, I should let you know that the PDP publicity secretary- Gani Taofic seeing the defeat of the incumbent Lagos governor~ Ambode said that Sanwo olu is not a threat, that their candidate~ Jimi Agbaje will beat Sanwo Olu blue black in the forthcoming governorship election. And I am like, “Is he a learner?” Did he not see the magic works- Sanwo olu had 970,851 votes while Governor Ambode had 70, 901 votes. Gani further said Sanwo Olu’s replacement for Ambode was just a way for them to tote Lagos money. Really “what else is new”, in the voice of Vincent, Catherine, Heather, Tess and JT in the season movie~ Beauty and the beast).

  1. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. (Mat 13:25)

Governor Ambode was too certain that he was going to win the primaries and be re~elected into office in the 2019 general elections. He felt he already had an assurance of support/supporters, even Davido’s song “Assurance” dedicated to Chioma may just be for the song and not reality.

Moving on, when he was supposed to be in Lagos planning how he would be victorious in the primaries, he was cooling down in Beijing. He said he was in President Buhari ‘s entourage. Okay, continue…

2. Yorubas say “Kokoro ti n je efo a be efo lo wa”

“The ant that is eating the vegetable is under the vegetable” that is what the above means. The chartered accountant was really surrounded by unfriendly friends and friendly enemies (in my mum’s voice) that he did not know. It took him over three years to realize that. Haba, his deputy- Idiat Adebule did not even vote for him but voted for Sanwo olu (The dialogue between Sanwo Olu and Idiat Adebule, and even the oga at the top did not start today, o ti pe gan). Even all the ‘Alausans’ (Permit me to call them by that name) turned their backs on him. The only numerous votes he got were from Epe people ~ his place of birth (Not all of them even voted for him self, I am certain) Perhaps, it is wise to say some of the Unilag students voted for him since he graduated from Accounting department in 1984 in the school or the students of federal governemnet college, Warri Delta State. Perhaps his peers from St Jude’s Primary School, Ebute Meta lagos, where he had his primary education also voted for him. What about those born on thesame day with him~June 14, 1963? Or his loyalists that staged a political rally?

Now I am sure he knows the real faces of those that love him and those that don’t. “Awon afoju feni mafo’kan Feni”

3. He already gave up or already conceded defeat even before the result

I remember Soundsultan’s song titled “2010”. The track featured MI. In M.I’s verse, he said “I want to be like moses, show my people dem to the promise land. But then, I noticed something, people wey try am don dey underground. I see dem I ja,
look dem from far. Me I fear this government people”

Even 2Shotz said something similar in his Song. In essence, real solutions to problems are buried in the coffin, if you want to set them free from the coffin, you will be thrown into the coffin as well”

Remember that politician that was killed in 2006, a year to 2007 election; Funsho Williams I think. He had just few votes less than the godfather of lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but Funsho was killed; hmm, let me come and be going ooo. What am I saying, Governor Ambode still cherishes his life, wife, children and true extended family; Eni eleni.

I even learnt that he urged all Nigerians to carry the flagship on. He said that Nigerians should support his party’s gubbernationaal candidate in the 2019 elections~ Sanwo Olu, after all he said about him. Okay, continue Sir…

4. The millions of people that ought to have voted for him were perhaps scared of something or someone.

5. Awon Aiye
Awon aiye just did not want him to go for the second term.He is the first incumbent governor to lose own party’s governorship ticket for a second term. Is it not aiye?

I mean, if electoral panel from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja said all the items needed to conduct the election were in their possession and were unaware of any primaries as at the time voting was already concluded, then something is wrong somewhere…

Some people just hate dirty environments and Lagos State is currently not clean. With the whole place littered, people just feel he is not working, but Ambode is really trying, that is what some people don’t know. In terms of environmental sanitation, they have been poor though. But he really constructed a lot of roads. Infact, one of the reasons I like him is because he fixed that Ilaje, Bariga road that was not fixed by his predecessors.
