That was the question asked by On~Air~Personalities (OAP) Murphy Ijemba and Sean Amadi on Maxfm102.3 evening show yesterday, with 5000 Naira attached to whoever answers the question correctly.

As I listened, I smiled with so much interest in answering the question. I was even feeling fly with myself that for sure I know the answer to the question.

I did not call in to the program but view my answer below

“Ah ah, who doesn’t know simi now? Simi, the terrific singer! Simi, iyawo (Wife of) Adekunle Gold.”

But my answer was very wrong (I don’t even know the surname of Simi the singer self.) when a particular caller called in and told the presenters and the whole listeners of Max102.3 fm who Simi really is.

According to the caller, Captain Simisola is the lady pilot that averted the Air Peace Boeing 737 crash at the Muratala Mohammed International Airport on the 23rd of July, 2019.

I was forced to do a further research on this and true to his words, she really saved lives. The plane lost its tires and partially crash~landed on the runway. But how come I did not blog about this I asked myself. Well that was because I did not hear a thing about this.

That is, the governments and the media did not seem to say much about this incident. Why did they just not prioritize this?

Well, now that I know about her, I am blogging about it.

Simi Ajibola is so very important, what she did is consequential and should not be ignored. She should be celebrated everyday.

You are indeed an Heroin!
