SYNOPSIS
The movie “Celebrity Marriage” was basically about the lifestyle of the married and unmarried celebrities, what married celebrities faced in the hands of their spouses as a result of their high status in the society or what their spouses also faced in the hands of their celebrity spouse as a result of their high status. The movie centered majorly on four different couples Farouq and Rita (Acted by Odunlade Adekola and Toyin Abraham); Tubosun and Steph (Acted by Felix Omokhodion and Tonto Dike); Lotanna and Anu (Acted by Jimmy Odukoya and Roselyn Ngissah); Emeka and Felicia (Acted by Francis Odega and Chioma Nwosu). It also centered on Mr. Gabriel (Kanayo O. Kanayo), Victoria (Jackie Appiah), Joan (Susan Peters) and Juliet (Calista Okoronkwo).
Farouq’s wife- Rita was a famous actress and writer who only appeared in the public with a smiling face but never smiled at home; whenever she returned home, her husband Farouq always welcomed her with series of beatings. Tubosun was the heir of multi-billion dollars telecommunication company- Unique Communication which his uncle- Mr Gabriel was overseeing until he was ready to take over. He married Steph unknown to him that she was working with his uncle to collect the company from him. Lotanna was a famous singer who was always high on cocaine. He married Anu the daughter of Mr. Gabriel because of her father’s money. While Felicia was also an actress but never gave her husband peace of mind or respect. Want to know more about the movie?

PLOT
Anu (Roselyn Ngissah) thinking her husband- Lotanna (Jimmy Odukoya) has changed and is willing to make the marriage work; oblivious that Lotanna’s temporary change of attitude is just to get her dad to renew his contract with Unique communication, prepares a special dish for him. She also plans on telling him that she is pregnant. But she gets the shocker of her life when Lotanna goes back to his usual act of not showing her affection. Lotanna hurls insults on Anu. Soon, he gets a call from already horny Victoria (Jackie Appiah) inviting him over to her place.
Farouq (Odunlade Adekola) is upset with his wife Rita (Toyin Abraham) that she spends so much time working on her new movie which is taking a toll on the needs of their children who have called him severally to complain that they are out of provision and money. Rita humbly tells her husband that he should complement her for now since she is busy. She also tells him that it is important she finishes the film so there will be money to pay for the school fees of the kids which keeps going high. These words do not go down well with Farouq who feels his wife is automatically saying that she pays all the bills in the house. Rita’s utterance earns her series of slaps and beating from Farouq. She tries to fight back but Farouq beats her more.
Tubosun (Felix Omokhodion) feels there is more than meets the eye concerning his wife’s inability to be pregnant yet. He suggests to Steph (Tonto Dike) that they should visit a specialist to know if it is bad dieting or something else that is hindering her chances of getting pregnant. He is oblivious of the fact that she is taking contraceptives. Steph agrees to go with him reluctantly.
Lotanna (Jimmy Odukoya) finally makes it to Victoria’s (Jackie Appiah) house and they devour each other sexually
Juliet (Calista Okoronkwo) finally puts a call through to Mr. Gabriel after he sneaked his contact into the tissue he had given her. They meet in an hotel for sex. While Lotanna and Victoria after turns of sex are woken by Rita’s call. Victoria and Lotanna hurry to the movie set. Victoria gets a call from one of the crew and she gives direction on what the person should do. Meanwhile Anu calls her daddy Mr. Gabriel and tells him that she wants to see him.
While on set, Steph’s friend Juliet (Calista Okoronkwo) joins her. Meanwhile, Tubosun gives her a call to remind her of their appointment with the specialist.
Farouq has refused to eat his wife’s food even though she has not been going for her regular shoot in the bid to satisfy her husband.
At the specialist’s office, he tells both Steph and Tubosun that the result shows that they are both okay. He dismisses the couple but ask Steph to stay back. He advises her to tell the husband the truth about the contraceptive she is using. But Steph shuns him and tells him that he will receive a call from someone. Steph walks out and truly, the specialist receives a call from a man.
Victoria and Lotanna snif cocaine which Victoria bought with her money to make them get high. Meanwhile, Farouq decides to cheat on his wife Rita with her colleague- Ify (Francess Ben). Rita calls her husband-Farouq to talk with him, he picks her call but pretends not to hear her.
Anu tries to kill herself but with her father’s timely arrival at her place, she is rushed to the hospital where she is given treatment. Anu survives but the baby doesn’t. Tubosun and wife Steph stop by to check on her.
Victoria tries to get Rita to tell her story about the domestic violence she is suffering to the whole world through blogs. She gets a makeup artist to make her face really look bruised so that people can quickly believe her husband Farouq is a beast and then sympathize with her which in a long run will pull attention to her and then she will capitalize on that attention and then release her movie. However, Rita shows apathy and walks out of the place. Meanwhile the blogger tells Victoria that her money is not refundable…
While Lotanna is with Victoria, his father in law- Mr Gabriel puts a call through to ask about his wife. Oblivious that his wife has been rushed to the hospital by her father, Lotanna lies that his wife is beside him. This irritates Mr. Gabriel as he immediately terminates the call as well his ambassadorship deal with Unique Communication. Lotanna gets a mail to this effect and immediately calls his in-law Tubosun to know why his contract was terminated. This of course makes Tubosin angrier because he had not called to ask about his bed ridden wife but about the contract. Tubosun cuts the call on him and afterwards calls his uncle to report him. Mr Gabriel swears to Tubosun that he will destroy Lotanna’s life and make sure no company ever signs him. He further tells Tubosun to pay bloggers to publish his story. They afterwards discuss about the need to expand the tentacle of their company.
SEASON 6
Rita notices that her husband’s wardrobe was empty; he already packed his items to his girlfriend- Ify’s place. She calls his line but he doesn’t pick and this destabilizes her. Meanwhile, Lotanna while with Victoria is fuming over the termination of his contract with Unique Communication. Victoria tries to pacify him but it doesn’t work out as he takes in more cocaine. His manager Lakeside (osita Iheme) soon calls him and tells him that three of his major shows have been cancelled. This again makes Lotanna mad. Victoria is puzzled and doesn’t know how to control the whole situation as it is overwhelming. So, she quickly tells Lotanna that her husband would soon arrive since they are on soccer break. Lotanna on hearing this feels Victoria also wants to push him away because of his challenges, so in anger, he leaves her house.
Lakeside goes to Mr. Gabriel’s office to plead on behalf of Lotanna. But Mr. Gabriel is not willing to sign him back because of his high intake of cocaine. He shows Lakeside Lotanna’s cocaine test result. Lakeside promises to clean him up but Mr. Gabriel is not going back on his words.
Tubosun returns home and tells his wife to connect him to her blogger friend- Joan so that she can write about Unique Communication forthcoming plans. Meanwhile Juliet steps out all prepared to go have a nice weekend with Mr. Gabriel.
Ify walks into the living room so excited and with a shopping bag. Her friends ask her the reason for the excitement and she tells them that she intends to marry Farouq- the husband of her colleague- Rita. Her friends do not support her as they think she has gone nut.
Juliet while going to see Mr.Gabriel in his office, hears his discussion with the company’s lawyer (Sunny Macdon) on his plans to take the company from Tubosun. She however still enters the office pretending not to have an idea of their dialogue. Meanwhile, Steph and Tubosun are having a nice time.
Lotanna is wondering how the bloggers are able to get his story but Lakeside tells him that Mr. Gabriel is probably behind it. He tells Lotanna that he has only three shows left that are not paying much and this dampens his soul. He returns home and gets high on cocaine.
Steph is looking for her wedding ring so she empties the content in her bag forgetting that she has the pills there too. Juliet sees the contraceptive and wonders why she is using it. This doesn’t go down well with Juliet even though she promises her friend not to say anything to her husband.
Anu is not happy with her dad’s actions against Lotanna. She tells her father that even though Lotanna may not be the best, but he is always there for her compared to her dad who is never available. So she packs her box and leaves her father’s house.
Juliet betrays her friend Steph and tells her husband that she is using contraceptive. Meanwhile, Victoria is mad with her blogger friend- Joan (Susan Peters) for exposing all her secrets on her affairs with lotanna and more on her blog. Joan apologises to her sarcastically while Victoria is short of words.
Steph pleads with her husband to forgive her but he says the marriage is over. Juliet walks in on them and Steph gets to know that she exposed her. Tubosun walks away afterwards. Steph is unhappy with Juliet. Though Juliet apologies but she confesses to her how she has been envious of her rise from their childhood drama group and is willing to see her fall while she rises.
Lotanna is down with stroke while his wife Anu finally leaves him. Victoria’s husband returns from her trip and sends her packing.
Steph and Mr. Gabriel meet to discuss what has been happening. Steph says she is losing her mind while Mr. Gabriel feels she did not cover her tracks well. His utterances make her mad that she realizes that he has been using her all this while. Mr. Gabriel tells her that they are both losers as Tubosun would be going for his PHD and would return to claim the company. Hence, his plan to take over the company is futile while she on the hand had lost her husband. He advises her to pick up the pieces of her life since she will be single again and single ladies are more marketable. Steph threatens to expose him while he on the other hand threatens to kill her.
Ify and Farouq are having their introduction with friends and families in attendance. Even Rita who is Farouq’s wife is also present at the occasion. She hands everybody an envelope and in it is a picture of Ify making love with another man in bed. The whole place is in disarray as Farouq and his family say they are not interested in marrying ify again.
