(PLUS INTERESTING BEHIND THE SCENE PICTURES)

Omo Ghetto saga is a movie by Funke Akindele Bello. It is a sequel to the original “Omo Ghetto” released some years ago (https://ogefash.reviews/2020/02/03/synopsis-movie-review-your-excellency-what-did-you-score-this-movie-here-is-mine/) . The movie is yet to be out, so I can’t say much about the movie except the casting.

So, like I was saying at the beginning of the article; for the casting, I noticed that the movie features a lot of popular actors. I know Funke Akindele is a fantastic creator; of course, she has proven that overtime, especially with the last production Your Excellency, (View the review here https://ogefash.reviews/2020/02/03/synopsis-movie-review-your-excellency-what-did-you-score-this-movie-here-is-mine/) , but I sincerely hope the popular idiom “Excess of everything is bad’ wont be the end result of this movie.

Moving on, a careful look at the behind the scene pictures of the movie as well as the cast shows that there were too many gangs in the movie. I think about four or five gangs. Each gang had about three to four men. Kilode? (As in what is it?) Oti poju (They are too much?) Which particular group do we viewers focus on.

In fact, there has to be a better explanation of the many gangs created in the movie, except some gangs are just to appear once; which I seriously doubt, going by the fact that they are all popular actors.

View the names of the various gangs below…

The Askamaya Bees: Left Eleniyan, Busty, Chummy Choko and Nikky. Lefty (Funke Akindele) is the leader of this gang.

Stone and his gang: Stone, Obiwire, Aza and Mario. Stone (Deyemi Okanlawon) is the leader of this gang.

Prisca and her gang: Prisca, Kate and Bella. Prisca (Mercy Aigbe) is the leader of this gang.

Don Cash and his gang: Don Cash, Efe Money and AY. Don Cash (Timini Egbuson) is the leader of this gang.

Mogambo and her gang: Mogambo, Eruku and Jericho. Mogambo (Yemi Alade) is the leader of this gang.

So, after all is said and done, should you still watch this saga? It is Funke, let us go watch it, hopefully she, JJC Skillz and the other directors on the movie would be able to manage the cast, crew and entire production to make a fantastic movie. Wo ni fe disappoint awon viewers na; as in they would not want to disappoint the viewers.
