IG @ogefashblog

What! Are you serious? 2 hours! I exclaimed. “You motherfucking think I sat down for the goddamn motherfucking 2 hours?” Now I think I am beginning to sound like a character in the movie that I know you already know if you have seen the movie Shaft.
But if you have not seen the movie, click to find out who those words can be attributed to.

Guess you just clicked the “Continue” button. So, before I let you know the talker of those words, amma gist you about the movie Shaft first.
So the movie shaft is such a lengthy movie like I made known at the beginning of the article. “Am I going to watch this?” I asked myself after a friend of mine gave me this movie. Well, I actually did. Little did I know that I was going to sit and watch the movie with an undivided attention and with my ribs cracking till the 2 hours elapsed; this movie tuto (as in the movie is so sweet)
I am going to be sharing with you all the action packed and rib cracking scenes of the movie.
I am yet to figure out who watched this film and did not like it. I watched it, liked it; I mean I just couldn’t love it less.
“THE SHOOT OUT”

So what is the movie Shaft about?
The movie “Shaft” is a 2019 American action comedy movie. Just like the title of the movie, the film was about Shaft (Acted by Samuel L Jackson). Infact I feel like the movie was all about all the Shaft family because we had John Shaft Senior (Richard Roundtree), John Shaft (Acted by Samuel L Jackson) and John Shaft Junior (Acted by Jessie T Usher); that is the grandfather, father and son. The trio really battled with Gordito (Acted by Isaach De Bankole) and his men in the latter part of the movie.
“GORDITO AND HIS MEN”

This Gordito is a Nigerian by the way!

EHEN, SO ABOUT THE MOVIE “SHAFT”
John Shaft Junior aka JJ (Acted by Jessie T Usher) was single handedly nurtured by his mother- Maya Babanikos (Acted by Regina Hall). JJ had not known his private investigator father for the 25 years of his life, but he was forced to hook up with his father (Acted by Samuel L Jackson) after his best friend- Karim Hassan (Acted by Avan Jogia) was murdered. JJ gave his father the job with no payment attached to it. This to him was a payback for all the years of father deprivation.

“KARIM”

JJ’s decision to employ his father’s help eventually brought about the fatherly bond he had always craved for since childhood. Both John Shaft and JJ get to know more about each other and love each other. In the process of discovering Karim’s murderers; Gordito (Acted by Isaach De Bankole), an heroin Lord whom John Shaft has been looking for to catch for years and whom he also blamed for the split with his wife- Maya was also discovered.

“I REALLY LOVED LITTLE JJ’S FACIAL REACTION”

I just love everything about this movie I love the way the characters interpreted their roles. I love their manner of dialogues; so funny and interesting. The cinematography is on point. I love the way the movie was shot; one could tell the number of days that had passed after a particular scene. Also, the film used both morning and night scenes; it wasn’t just day scenes which is typical in some movies.
The movie has a very different approach. I loved the fact that JJ could on his own fight with or without his father. They didn’t portray him as a “Novice” character because he did not grow up with his father or as a “Novice” because he constantly said “I hate guns” or as a “Novice” because his father already got skills, therefore his father’s presence/skills would always protect him
What do I mean? I love the fact that “The boy has got skills” like Grandfather John Shaft said.
I also love this “grandfather- father and son” feel. I love the action played out by the trio in the last part of the movie. It really added extra “flavor” to the movie.

“THE TRIO”

Also, I enjoyed these love birds- JJ and Sasha (Acted by Alexandra Shipp); although, I did not really like the fact that it took them till the end of the movie before they shared a kiss. So whose fault? Who was really holding back? JJ? or Sasha? That must have been JJ who was scared of women or should I say he was too shy and unable to express his feelings to Sasha. But this JJ is a fine boy o! Winks, never mind that…
Did you all notice the way Sasha stared lovingly at JJ when she saw him handling the gun; it was love over and over again.

Moving on, like I said at the beginning of the article, this film di (is) funny; lots of funny scenes indeed. I just had to laugh it out loud at the 1 Hour 8 minutes of the scene where Maya (Acted by Regina Hall) excused herself to the restroom. The older woman in the restroom with her was wondering if she was indeed okay.
Also, the 1 hour 39 minutes 42 seconds of the movie was funny. The scene where John Shaft Senior and one of Gordito’s men were fighting; they had both agreed to battle each other with their hands, only for the latter to pull out a knife. When the older man saw that the guy pulled out his knife, he was like “Oh, so you wanna go there?” let me get mine, so he got a gun instead and shot him immediately.

Sound wise

Just thinking
The way JJ’s female colleague looked at him though @ the 1 hour 45 minutes 23 seconds of the movie; is that admiration or envy?
At the 1 hour 4minutes of the movie, wondering though, how exactly JJ planted that microcam on Bennie’s table; he was never out of sight.

“I said I don’t like gun, didn’t say I couldn’t use it” So how exactly did he get to know how to use a gun and why doesn’t he like guns

Ogefash blog is also the first to translate songs, interprete and give a full detailed analysis about music and artistes in Nigeria, Africa and America before other blogs started emulating her style. While other blogs provided just music lyrics alone, we took it higher by not only providing lyrics, but translating, interpreting and analyzing as well. It is also the first blog to give detailed analysis of adverts. Interestingly, Ogefash blog also known as Ogefash Photo Blog is the first blog all over the world to blog with lots of interesting pictures to support all articles. Ogefash says "I don't keep male friends because they always say "sex" is part of friendship. I don't keep female friends because they are always bitchy. I only keep people I can call more than a friend!" Ogefash has an affinity for TV reality shows. In 2018, she represented Nigeria in the PanAfrican TV reality game show "The Maltavator Challenge" powered by Nigeria's number one malt drink packed full of energy giving vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B6;Malta Guinness. The show brought together four African countries Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia and Coted'ivoire who competed for the grand prize of 20,000 dollars. Undaunted by any task in her field, Ogefash is highly energetic and creative. She is a rare gem and a gift to this generation.
