The word “Nightmare” means an unpleasant dream.
The artiste uses the song Nightmare to describe her personality as a nightmare because of what she has faced in life. View in this line “I’m no sweet dream, but I’m a hell of a night”
She talks about her frightening experiences before she became who she is today. She says her life was in a perfect ruin and people talked lots of shit about her, but she ignored them. Halsey faced several battles that got her depressed, but she was able to surmount them; she is not scared of conquering more battles. She said when people withdrew support for her, told her lies, deceived her, her strength failed. She became cheerless and even hurt herself at times. She has however being able to put herself back together after all these heart-gripping events.
