“Oh Tiwa Savage featured in this song” That was exactly my initial thought after listening to this song, but of course the video already clarifies it.

Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian songstress didn’t feature in the song. But I feel that first female vocalist in this song has a similar vocal with Tiwa Savage, and they kind of look alike too. What y’all think?

WHAT’S THE SONG REPOND BY TRAVIS GREENE ALL ABOUT?

What the song “Respond” is all about can be gotten from the Bible passage “Matthew 22:14” which says “For many are invited, but few are chosen (NIV)”  or “For many are called, but few are chosen (KJV)”

Travis Greene also included this bible passage in the visual of the song.

In the song, the artiste as well as his backup singers shows readiness to say “Yes” to God when He calls them. They would not turn down or ignore God’s call because by saying “Yes” to Him, they are saying “Yes” to the will of God in their lives, to praise Him, serve Him, proclaim His good news to the world, live long, God’s protection, provision and enjoyment of His goodness.

They implore God to search nowhere else because they are eagerly waiting to accept His invitation when He calls.

The song has only one verse which was repeated by the backup singers. The pre-chorus and chorus was taken thrice. The lyrics to this song are meaningful and inspiring. The refrain elongated the song, but it is interesting to the ears. The artiste and his back up singers have appealing vocals. They sang expressively to the beat. The major intruments used to compose this song include piano, drums and guitar.

The video is cool; it was shot outdoor, atop the roof. The video featured only the artiste and the three backup singers who were all dressed in white.

Take a gander at the lyrics below
