WHAT IS THE SONG “OPO” BY 2BABA FT WIZKID REALLY ABOUT

Opo is a Yoruba word in Nigeria that means “it is much.”

So what exactly are the artistes saying is much? It is a lady’s entire body or better still, her ass. This they sang in the chorus “Idi yen po” which translates to “Your ass is much” or “big”. Her ass is so big that people who stumble on her lose concentration on every other thing they are doing except her ass.

In essence, in the song “Opo”, the artistes basically emphasized the magnitude of a particualr girl’s body parts; her ass in particular. She has got them mesmerized. Her body fascinates them, excites them sexually and sparks a reaction from them. Her body incites them sexually and she preoccupies their minds all day. They desire to have a taste of her with the promise of taking care of her material needs.

View some lines below that show they want her sexually

“Oh my baby you dey trigger me (Baby you trigger me)
This your matter wey dey finger me  (Your matter triggers me)
Say if you want the Gucci bag (Say if you want Gucci bag)
If you give me girl na gongo aso (If you give me girl, it is the drums talking)
Straight from Ghana to my Otukpo ranch, we go xxxxxxxxxx (Straight from Ghana to my Otukpo ranch xxxxxxxx)
She say she down with it, she say she down with it (She says she is down with it, she says she is down with it)
Any of your friends fit to follow follow (Any of your friends can follow follow)”

Lyrically: The song comes in two verses. The first verse was taken by Wizkid while the second verse was taken by Wizkid and 2Baba. Wizkid alone took the chorus and prechorus which were taken once and twice respectively. The artistes sang in Pidgin and Yoruba; a Nigerian language. The lyrics are just one-directional as they only emphasize the magnitude of a lady’s ass.

Vocal: Their vocals are clear and interesting to the ears. There was consistency in their vocal quality.

Melody: The song is pleasant. The major instruments used to compose the song include drums, harp and piano. The instruments are well balanced. The song’s rhythm flows well too…

As of the time of dropping thoughts on this song, the video has not yet dropped…

Take a gander at the lyrics below…
