ABOUT THE SONG “GOOD AS HELL” BY LIZZO

The song “Good as hell” is basically raising the spirit of heartbroken people. The artiste uses this song to encourage broken-hearted people or those whose feelings have been hurt to find every possible means to get on with their lives and be cheerful again, rather than brood over what left them heart-broken and live a cheerless life the rest of life. She says these set of people should take part in activities that would bring back their joy and make them forget about the one who hurt them.

She says while getting their groove back and filled with smile, the one who had broken their heart will soon realize how foolish it was to have broken their heart.

Here is what she would do if it were her and she encourages others to do the smae

“I’l do my hair toss, check my nails”

To toss hair means to move one’s hair backwards quickly. In essence, do that often to show you are not bordered about anything.

The video for this song was shot in Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The video complements the track as it tells the story of a lady that was jilted by her lover during her school’s homecoming week.

The song is also very tuneful. Lizzo was expressive as she sang the lyrics. Her vocal was dynamic and her backup singers were exceptional. Her lyrics flowed well with the rhythm. She was also unswerving with the style of rhythm. The various instrumentals used include flute, harp, piano and drums. The song has two verses and they were both written well. The chorus was taken five times.

LYRICS TO GOOD AS HELL BY LIZZO

INTRO

Miss Nicole, this is Chemistry class and not music class baby

CHORUS

I’l do my hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

VERSE 1

Woo child, tired of the bullshit
Go on dust your shoulders off, keep it moving
Yes Lord, tryna get some new shit
In there, swimwear, going to the pool shit
Come now, come dry your eyes
You know you a star, you can touch the sky
I know that it’s hard but you have to try
If you need advice, let me simplify

PRE CHORUS

If he don’t love you anymore
Just walk your fine ass out the door

CHORUS

I’l do my hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

Feeling good as hell

Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

VERSE 2

Woo girl, need to kick off your shoes
Got to take a deep breath, time to focus on you
All the big fights, long nights that you been through
I got a bottle of Tequila I been saving for you
Boss up and change your life
You can have it all, no sacrifice
I know he did you wrong, we can make it right
So go and let it all hang out tonight

PRE CHORUS

‘Cause he don’t love you anymore
So walk your fine ass out the door

CHORUS

And do your hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

Do your hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

HOOK

Hmmm, yeahhhh

Listen; if he don’t love you anymore
Then walk your fine ass out the doorrrrr

CHORUS (2X)

And do your hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

And do your hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
Hair toss, check my nails
Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell

Feeling good as hell

Baby how you feeling? Feeling good as hell
