WHAT IS THE SONG “FILL ME UP” BY TASHA COBBS ABOUT

The word “fill” means to be full. It also means to have a full supply of something.

“Fill me up” means the desire to have something in full, jam-packed, complete; sufficient.

To be filled up till one overflows means to have something sufficiently in such a way that there would be no room to contain it.

In the song “Fill me up”, Tasha Cobbs surrenders all to God. She calls on God to replenish her afresh with the spirit, anointing and glory of God till she overflows. She wants to have more than enough of God. Tasha declares herself empty and implores God to recharge her, fuel her spirit and pour out His fresh anointing on her so that she can be free from bondage, surmount all problems and do great exploits.

MEANING OF THE FOLLOWING LINES

“You provide the fire. I’ll provide the sacrifice…You provide the spirit. And I will open up inside”
Shows the artistes readiness to surrender all to God, so He can recharge her, and use her for His Glory. It also talks about her readiness to receive fresh anointing and the spirit of God into her life

I so love this song; so spirit filling. I played this song countless times before the review, during the review, and even after the review, I am still jamming it. The lyrics are repetitive, meaningful, inspiring, uplifting and spirit-filling. Tasha Cobbs has an appealing and soul-winning vocal. The artiste sang in English. The backup singers sang in a unified voice; so appealing!

The rhythm is catchy, spirit filling, engaging and melodious as well. The major instruments used to compose the song include drums, guitar, piano and harp. This is really an organized sound!

Take a gander at the lyrics below
