Accolade means to shower someone with praises.

So, I am wondering o, what are these artistes are praising a lady for? Hmm, I am suspecting these artistes are praising a particular lady for her sexual prowess; what y’all think?

WHAT IS THE SONG ACCOLADE BY LAYCON FT YUSUF KAN BAI ABOUT

Accolade is a song about unrequited love. In the song, the artistes show interest in having a particular lady they described as Porsche. This lady arouses them, and has an effect on them in all ways. They praise this lady for being able to make them feel what they feel for her; even though she doesn’t seem to feel the same way for them. They also implore the lady not to toil with their emotions.

Lyrically: The lyrics come in two verses taken by Laycon. The pre- chorus and chorus were taken thrice and twice each  by Yusuf Kan Bai, while the hook was taken eight times by Yusuf Kan Bai and Laycon

The song has sexual undertones. View some lines below:

“The way you do my thing
I dey feel like baby uh lately o
The way you move your thing
Girl you deserve accolade o
One, two; baby lemme put it on you
Never bounce when a Jigga wanna put it on you

Make a jigga show you how you never catch cruise

Baby don’t be shy (Baby, don’t be shy)
Oya jeka lo be (Let’s go there)
You deserve accolade o (You deserve accolade o)”

The artistes sang in pidgin and Yoruba; a Nigerian Language.

Vocal: The artistes were quite expressive with their vocals. There was also consistency in their vocal quality.

Melody:  The song is quite tuneful. The major instruments used in the composition of this song include drum and piano.

As at the time of penning down thoughts on this song, the video has not yet dropped.
