What the heck is wrong with music listeners/lovers? How exactly do they make a particular song their choice? How do they put a particular song on replay without adding this dope song Zombie by Mr.P ft Simi? I think this song is so underrated and I am wondering why. I need more views for this song here @

By the way, my hands I have been iitching for so long to review this song. To say I like this song is an understatement, I love this song; I just screamed it. I am so elated reviewing this song, it has been on Ogefash photo blog music catalogue, but we have been shifting it, perhaps we focused more on American songs than African songs. Like you know before the main review, we love you to take a gander at the lyrics…

THE REVIEW

Dope track I must say. This song, with or without Paul is banging si mi leti (So interesting to the ears) Yes, what were you thinking? That I would say without Paul Okoye aka #Rudeboy, the song is incomplete…rara o (no o)

Anyway, that’s by the way. First of all, I love this atmospheric intro, it really captured my attention; I knew the video was a must watch. Also, the beat, the South African language and the seven dancers turned back up singers; iye no nice (that one is nice too) made the video interesting to watch.

Lyrically, the song comes in two verses. The first verse was taken by Mr. P and the second verse by Simi. The chorus was sung three times. The artistes sang basically in pidgin, the only non- pidgin language was the brief South African word they added to the song at some point. The song is meaningful as it talks about how far one is willing to go or what one is willing to do to prove one’s love to another..O just say, what people do in the name of love.

BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG

In the verse 1, “My Sheri Koko, I don dey craze for your matter” Mr. P explains how intense his feelings are for his significant other. He says he would always love her no matter the mood he may be in. This he emphasizes in this line “And I go love you, whether na sunny weather”

A sunny weather is that period of the day when there is a lot of sunlight. Although people tend to be cheerful because of the weather, but the cheerfulness can suddenly dampen. When it is extremely hot like that and you are tired, it may change your mood or behavior or ulterance. You may become so tired and sharp (Aggressive) when responding to people.
The artiste further says that the intense feelings he has for his significant other is driving him crazy. She is the only one occupied in his memory. She is the reason he is unable to think properly. He says the lady has a huge effect on him.

In the chorus,Girl I go be your, zombie o, zombie o”  Mr. P says he surrenders himself (life) to his significant other to do with it whatever she so wishes. He says he will deal with anybody that wants to separate them. He also says he will do anything for her just in the name of love; he doesn’t care if they are crazy stuffs. He will jump inside water, (although it is an empty water), go naked on the road, jump inside gutter; kill bargers; he will be her zombie.

In the verse 2 “Your love e smooth pass water, na only u baby o” Simi explains her love for her significant other. She demands honesty from him so that the feelings she has for him will not die. She expresses the desire to always be with him as well as spend eternity with him. She further says their love is sealed from above.

She also praises her significant other for his looks and elegance and blesses God for taking the extra time to create him.

WHAT DOES THE SONG “ZOMBIE” BY MR.P MEAN

The word “Zombie” means to act lifeless or better still, to act like one who has got no soul or will of his or her own. To act like you are not in control of your self again. To act moronic.

Zombie by Mr. P ft Simi is a love song where the artiste uses the word “Zombie” to explain his intense feelings for a lady and how far he is willing to go or what he is willing to do just to prove his love for the lady. He makes us understand that he is ready to be controlled by the significant other, do all her wishes, submit to her desires, do bizarre things just to prove how much he loves her.

MEANING OF SOME WORDS

Scatter your brain: When you are unable to think properly. To make someone confused, unable to think again or concentrate or focus or think clearly, too much for you to bear at a time that you lose concentration

Sunny weather:  When there is a lot of light from the sun.

Strong thing: When someone has a huge effect on you

Control: To run someone’s life, to dictate to someone

COSTUME

I couldn’t have loved it less. I couldn’t have asked for a better costume. I couldn’t have asked for more. So superb! Nice sneakers, nice bowler hat, nice shirt, nice shot;everything nice for Mr.P. Simi’s costume was on point too as well as the dancers/backup singers. The person that costumed all of them is really a good costumier. Thumbs up!

LOCATION

The video was shot in Nigeria; outdoor shoot only. It was shot in a beach.

SOUND

So melodious! I love the fact that they sang expressively, especially Mr. P. I loved their vocals, so heartwarming. I think this is my best track of all Mr.P’s solo songs  so far, I love all his tracks though. The beat is memorable and original.  They maintained the same style of rhythm all through the song. Their lyrics flowed well with the beat. Siimi’s verse was lengthier than that of Mr. p. I felt they should have maintained thesame number of stanza for each verse to make it rhymr. The drum beats, guitar, piano used enhanced the beauty of the song. I love the piano interludes…

VIDEO PRODUCTION

I love the visuals; so interesting to watch. The 7 dancers of Mr. P were all the back up singers and they were really interesting to watch.

I love the fact that the video concept is different from the conventional form employed by other artistes. I love their expressions, especially that of Mr.P.  The video complements the track. Great lightning; quality video.
