Phew! It was really an herculean task hearing some of the lines of these our already famous artistes; they were not audible enough especially Patoranking. At some point, it was like they forgot the real lyrics to the song they were singing and just created a group of words on the spot with no meaning.

THE REVIEW
Lyrically, a partially complicated song! Please can someone help translate these lines “Seriously intimidating, my body calibrating” “Even when you wrong or right, I cannot be satisfied” despite the fact I researched on the word “calibrating” I just can’t connect it to the song.
Then, “Seriously intimidating” Like seriously? How can the love he claimed to have for his girlfriend be intimidating?
Does “Freak someone out” not mean to terrify someone or make someone uneasy or something similar? How come in the Pre-chorus, Rudeboy said the lady he loves freaks him out. View here “Girl you knack me out, you freak me out and you knack me out”
Also, what did he say before and after that “freak me out?” Was it “Make me out” or “knack me out” he said? I really do not know, but even at that, I still can’t connect them to the song.
Then Patoranking’s lyrics were not just clear enough in the verse2. I love his vocals though, quite appealing but he was not audible, his verse was the most difficult to hear. Infact, both Patoranking and Rudeboy were just singing like they forgot their lines and formed a word on the spot. They were at times inaudible, especially Patoranking. The first, second, fourth and sixth lines (from the way it is arranged on Ogefash Blog) were not clear enough. Despite the fact that I spent days listening to the song, I still did not hear some lines well. Infact, I used the VLC player to slow the speed of the song, but it was still the same thing.
The song comes in three verses- Rudeboy sang verses 1 and 3 while Patoranking sang verse 2. The chorus and pre-chorus were done three times each. The song was done mostly in pidgin with the exception of Patoranking’s verse 2.
It is a meaningful song no doubt, as it talks about still being united with one’s partner irrespective of whatever trouble that may loom. However, I feel some words used in the song and the inability to hear the artistes clearly made the song complicated.
BREAKDOWN OF THE SONG
In the verse 1, “I dey my own all of a sudden; my body dey do me “I love you” Rudeboy explains that when he is alone, he always has the intense urge to be with his girlfriend. The artiste says he can’t have enough of her; even though she satisfies him, he wants more. He desires to hold her closely and never let go
In the pre-chorus, “Girl I no regret; even though every day we dey fight” Rudeboy says irrespective of their quarrel, he still loves her dearly. And he says since the day he met her, she has always brought out a positive response in him. She excites and arouses him sexually.
In the chorus, “Whenever, however; anyhow wey you like make e be” Rudeboy says nothing would separate him and his girlfriend. He says no matter the extent of their quarrel or obstacle, they would still hold on together. The kind of weather (hot, cold, wet, dry, calm, stormy, clear or cloudy) affects some people, places or things, he assures her that no matter the weather/condition they would still be together “Our love is weather free” He says irrespective of the condition they face in the relationship-whether favorable or unfavorable, adverse or good, they would never be apart but be one for eternity. They would stay together and fix whatever problem they have to keep their relationship.
In the verse 2, “You make me realize, God create you specially for me” Patoranking says that God created his girlfriend specially for him. He says, no matter what she does whether good or bad, he will never let her go because his love for her is real. He wishes they would never quarrel but just keep being cheerful. He says she is his joy and she makes him cheerful. He is ready to accommodate all her excesses. He goes further to prove his love by giving her a plush ring, promising to always do right; he says he just wants to hold her closely without letting go
In the verse 3, “You see my girl no go suffer suffer” Rudeboy says his girl wont go through pain or hard times having him as her man because he has everything that can satisfy a woman; he is affectionate, stylish and has money. He assuages any fear she may be having concerning their relationship and assures her that nothing will ever separate them.
WHAT IS THE SONG “TOGETHER” BY RUDEBOY FT PATORANKING ABOUT
The song “Together” is a love song no doubt. In the song, the artistes express their intense love for their women and vow never to separate from them no matter the obstacle that may come their way.
This can also be likened to the “Togetherness” of various people or countries irrespective of the gender, religion, race or colour. They emphasized “Togetherness” in the video through the display of flags of various countries.

Weather free- This is when someone, something or a place is not affected by weather change, whether hot, cold, wet, dry, calm, stormy, clear or cloudy.
SOUND:
I was enjoying the song’s original beat until it got to the chorus and I heard a beat similar to Shakira’s 2009 coveted song “Whenever, wherever” What happen na? Rudeboy did not need to switch, his’ was terrific.
But overlooking the change of beat in the chorus, this is one great tune and catchy as well. I love that part where Rudeboy added “I love you” “I need you”, his vocal in that line was so sweet
Patoranking’s vocal in this line “Girl you give me joy everyday” “Eh Aii”. “Girl you make me happy every night” “Ayyy” was interesting as well. Also where he said “……not even a maybe”
However, the artistes were not audible enough, especially Patoranking.
COSTUME
Everything casual qualifies their costume in this song.
LOCATION
I don’t know the country it was shot, but it was an outdoor shoot.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
The video complements the track. I love the fact that they were displaying different flags. It doesn’t just emphasize the togetherness of couple, but of people and various countries irrespective of gender, age, colour or religion.
JUST WONDERING
· Rudeboy ft Patoranking, I was expecting to see Patoranking’s picture, not a video vixen
· Rudeboy using different ladies especially whites shows togetherness. Na even white ladies im dey kukuma use for his songs before, except for “somebody baby” video though… #Winks
