WHAT IS THE SONG “OGARANYA” BY REMINISCE FT FIREBOY DML ABOUT?

Ogaranya is an Igbo word in Nigeria that means “Wealthy person.” It is used by the Esterners in Nigeria.

In the song, the artistes talk about how wealthy they are which makes them noticed, well respected and live large. According to them, they would use their affluence to have fun, turn up, gamble, and flirt with ladies.

Lyrically: The song has sexual undertones. View some of the lines below…

“Bring your bread mo ni butter ti ma fa si (Panya) (Bring your bread; I would add my butter to it)

Lori bam bam, baby shooku shooku

You get bobby you get yansh (You have breast and bum)

You like to boroborokoto all the time (You like to do too much all the time)

I like to fikifaka so it’s alright (Me too, I like to put it in; so it is alright)

The above words are sex-related.

Omo to ba lo’sho o di dandan ko ni skills (Any lady that is flirty, must have skills) “

The lyrics are also offensive. It is like the artistes were encouraging women to exchange their bodies for cash..

View some lines below

“I get money, I get cash… (I have money, I have cash)”

“You get bobby you get yansh (You have breast and bum)”

The song comes in two verses taken by Reminisce alone. Fireboy DML alone took the chorus thrice while Reminisce took the pre-chorus twice.

The lyrics are fair.

Vocal: At some point, Reminisce’s vocal was not clear, but Fireboy’s was clear. There was consistency in their vocal quality.

Melody: The song comes in a fast-tempo beat. The rhythm flows well, and there was consistency in the rhythm stle. The major instruments used to compose this song include piano and drums.

Take a gander at the lyrics below..

It is also the first blog to give detailed analysis of adverts. Interestingly, Ogefash blog also known as Ogefash Photo Blog is the first blog all over the world to blog with lots of interesting pictures to support all articles. Ogefash says "I don't keep male friends because they always say "sex" is part of friendship. I don't keep female friends because they are always bitchy. I only keep people I can call more than a friend!" Ogefash has an affinity for TV reality shows. In 2018, she represented Nigeria in the PanAfrican TV reality game show "The Maltavator Challenge" powered by Nigeria's number one malt drink packed full of energy giving vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B6;Malta Guinness.
