It is one thing for a track to grab one’s attention; it is another thing for the visual to do the same also. For me, the audio and video caught my attention; this is indeed a beautiful visual.

Ada Ehi to me kind of looks like Simi Gold but the lighter version of her. What y’all think? Or is it my eyes?

WHAT IS THE SONG “I OVERCAME” BY ADA ABOUT

The word overcome according to English dictionary means to surmount (physical o abstract obstacle) to prevail over or to get the better of.

From the above, one can tell what the song is basically about. Even the song is self-explanatory.

In the song, Ada Ehi sings about how she is able to surmount obstacles because of the victory of Jesus on the cross. She talks about surviving all situations because God survived and overcame every obstacle. She also sings about her future which she says is bright and secured because of Jesus. According to her, because Jesus lives and lives in her; she can move mountains.

The song comes in two verses. The chorus was taken thrice. The lyrics are meaningful. The artiste has an appealing and expressive vocal.  She sang expressively to the tuneful beat. She has a very powerful pitch range. I must really commend her modulation at the latter part of the song, from the 4 minutes of the song to the end; fantastic modulation I must say.

The video complements the track, and it is interesting to watch. I love the digital effects. In the video, she was able to defeat her enemies in battle; God fought her battle for her. The video was shot indoor; in a cathedral precisely. There was also an outdoor shoot; the rocky ground where she defeated her enemies with the Holy Ghost sword. The major instruments used to compose the song include piano, guitar and drum. There were four guitarists in the song. She sang in Standard English.
