(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- JORO BY WIZKID “THIS HIS CANDLE SETTING LOOKS LIKE…”

IG @ogefashblog

It seems to me that I may have finally been able to figure out the name of church Wizkid goes to if he attends one anyway. I am thinking it’s an Aladura church. Because this his candle setting is looking more like an Aladura church setting than a romantic setting. Infact, the placement of the red cloth in that way around the candles makes the place looks like a coven. What ya think?

About the song Joro by Wizkid?

Joro by Wizkid is a love song to a lady he so much loves and desires to be around her. He hopes that the lady also feels the same way about him too.

In the song “Joro”, the artiste also emphasizes how much effect the lady has on him. This he sang in this line in Verse 1.

“Omoge, na wini-wini wana-wana (Babe, your love has effect on me)
Your love dey do me one time. Oh, my omoge di mo mi (Oh my babe, cuddle me)”

Some lyrics in the song that may mean sex

“Deep down, baby girl, I know you wanna deep-ride pon it
Every night, she say she just wan dey climb on it”

Ma je kon mo means don’t let them know

Wa ba mi means come and help me.”

Moving on, I am wondering what “Joro” is actually about. I am thinking it was abbreviated from the word “Joromi”What ya think?

Perhaps, in the context of this song it means “Lady, let us be lovers and be united. What ya think Joro means? Kindly share with us via the comment link…

About Joro video

The camera focussed mainly on the video vixen who danced non-stop rather than on Wizkid all through the. But in some scenes, she was stiffening her body; like, she was practically forcing herself to dance especially when she was at that salon.

The video is fair to watch!

For Wizkid’s costume; I am still thinking about it though…

The song is quite lengthy. It has two verses. The chorus was taken thrice but he wasn’t consistent with the chorus as at times he either sang four lines from the chorus or two or three lines. The artiste sang mostly in pidgin mostly and fused it with some Yoruba words.

Take a gander at the lyrics below
