The most difficult people to understand and communicate with would most definitely be those that work in health and social care setting especially in Nigeria. They hardly smile and always love to carry this ‘long face’ about. Try approaching them for enquiries that’s when you will discover how unfriendly they are; that look they will give you will make you either tremble or forget making enquiries. When you are even talking to them, they don’t give you their undivided attention. They are good at shunning patients. When you call their attention, they just ignore you. They hardly listen to what you say at all and if they are going to speak with you, they talk to you in a bad mannered way. Even their countenance will make you forget what you want to ask them;especially the elderly ones. When you see them smile with someone, it is either the person is their colleague or that they just received bonuses. They do not smile with patients at all. I hope this coming 2018, there can be a ‘change’ to that…
