“What exactly is the meaning of Wanetwa mos? or Wanitwa mos?” “Is that even the correct spoken word?” The above has been the question on my lips for days leading to weeks and months, but I am yet to get an answer. ABOUT THE SONG “SKELETON MOVE”
Before I tell you about the song, Denga from South Africa recently contacted Ogefash Photo Blog and told us the meaning of Wanitwa Mos. Denga says it is a slang in Tsonga Language. It is a rhetorical question that means “You can hear me right” or “Can you hear me clearly.” Thank you so much Denga from South Africa, we love you so much for helping out with the meaning of that word.
ABOUT THE SONG
From the title of the song and with the upbeat tune, one can deduce that it is a dance track. However, the song also has a core theme which can be derived from Zanda Zakuza’s intro “No matter where you go. Remember the road that will lead you home”
The song advises people never to forget their roots or where they are coming from wherever/whenever they go in pursuit of their dreams. It also calls on people not to forget what they have been through and what made them search for a better life when they eventually become successful in life.
The song “Skeleton Move” is a South African song by Master KG which features the vocal of Zanda Zakuza. The lyrics to this song are repetitive while the rhythm is engaging. Interestingly, the first time I heard this song, I thought they were saying “Bode Thomas” but as I kept on listening to it, I realized it was not Bode Thomas (A Nigerian politician and lawyer who was the first minister of transportation.
