I so much love the video for “Jealous” that I kept on watching it over and over again before I penned down my thoughts on the song. And whenever I watch it, I am like “No wonder!”.

No wonder what you may ask? No wonder the video vixen cheated on her husband in the song. Interesting and uninteresting do not blend. See the way the husband looked like; he would obviously be the boring type of husband, and that’s the man the video vixen is expected not to cheat on? If I hear!

Hey, I am not encouraging people  to cheat oh, but is Fireboy DML encouraging people to cheat on their spouse via his video? Not really! What ya think?

ABOUT THE SONG JEALOUS BY FIREBOY DML

The word jealousy in the context of this song means the desire to be the only one around a spouse, lover, friend or someone all the time in such a way that you don’t want to see such person around anyone else except you. Reason being that you fear they may cheat on you or they someone may snatch them away from you.

In the song “Jealous”, Fireboy DML fell deeply in love with a certain lady he met at a club and had a one-night stand with. He afterwards desired to have the lady to himself only and not share her with anybody else oblivious that she was married. When he eventually found out that she was married, he was filled with jealousy and wished she would be with no one but him.

THE STORY IN THE VIDEO

Fireboy DML in this video met a lady in the club. They played together, laughed with each other, had wild fun and eventually slept with each other. Fireboy got hooked to this kind of loving and wanted to see more of the lady. He had not planned to fall in love with her but he did. He went back to the club in search for the lady but did not find anyone that could lead him to her. He kept on searching for her until one day, he met someone who told him where the lady was living.

On getting to the lady’s house, he discovered that she was married and it was just a one night stand with him. Eyah, poor thing, pele! (Sorry!) Fireboy is now filled with jealousy seeing her with someone else…

The song comes in two verses. The chorus was taken twice and took a chunk part of the song. The song is interesting to the ears and the rhythm flows well. The major instruments used include drums and percussion. The artiste has an appealing vocal. The artiste also put real feelings into the song. Both the artiste and video vixen were of exceptional performance. Their gestures tallied with the theme of the song.

Take a gander at the lyrics below.

REVIEW FOR SCATTER BY FIREBOY DML

(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION)  MUSIC REVIEW: SCATTER BY FIREBOY DML “WAS HE TAKING A SWIPE AT OTHER ARTISTES”

Omo this beat for “scatter” mad o. As I was translating the song, I was just dancing on my chair. The beat is so melodious that it would move even the unmovable #Winks.  But it is the truth o, you can see his music woke those #zombis up, but I know come know whether it is physical or spiritual death #Winks. The song “scatter” has a fast beat; so common, get up and dance whenever you hear the song.

ABOUT THE SONG PARTY SCATTER

The word “Party scatter” in the context of this song does not mean that the whole crowd would disperse once the artiste makes an appearance. It means the crowd would go wild; they would be filled with extreme excitement once he steps onto the stage.

Fireboy uses this the song “Scatter” to emphasize how excited his fans always are whenever he goes to perform. He says his presence in any event or gathering makes the show lively. His fans always anticipate his performance. According to him, he puts real energy into his performance which he supports with his melodic vocals. He has got a unique style different from other artistes and has got more fire than them.

Hmmm! Here is what I am trying to find out; was Fireboy taking a swipe at other artistes especially the old ones? Because nowadays, we hear that some artistes are not just moving the fans when they perform on stage. What ya think? Hint me….

SCATTER VIDEO

I love the video concept. If you look very well, you would see that the visual is different from the conventional concept used by musicians. This video is so cool. The dancers were clothed like zombies and also carried their bodies like them. Their countenance in the zombie costume was flawless. The way they dressed like clowns made me remember one song by Big Brovas; I can’t remember the title of the song sha.

This video is interesting to watch. Although, the place where the video was shot looks like where the video for Olamide’s “Poverty die” was shot.

The song “scatter” has only one verse, the predominant part in the song was the chorus and post chorus which he sang repeatedly. They were taken twice each. The artiste sang mostly in pidgin and in Yoruba; a Nigerian language.

Meaning of words

Listen to the “do re mi fa so la ti do” may mean listen to the real interesting music with all the song notes; what ya think?
