If you are a fan of Mabel, then you would have noticed that in most of her videos, if not all, 6 other females always join her to choreograph to her song. She doesn’t use more or less than six; so far. Moving on, after watching this video, the latter part in particular, I am of the opinion that Mabel may actually not be looking for any boyfriend in her life in this song. I mean, out of all the boys she was pictured with; “The hot boy” “Bad boy” “Pretty boy” “Party Boy” “Nice boy”; none seem satisfactory for her. So, she ended up not picking any guy despite the fact that she said she needed a boyfriend.

WHAT IS THE SONG BOYFRIEND BY MABEL ABOUT
A boyfriend is a male figure in a romantic relationship with a female figure.
In the song, Mabel expounds how she easily gets aroused whenever she is lonely. Hence, she desires to have a boyfriend that is tough, that can excite her sexually and that would let her take control while they are sexing.
In essence, she wants a boyfriend just for sexual gratification rather than having him for keeps to help douse her loneliness; a relationship with no strings attached.

The chorus, pre-chorus and post chorus were taken thrice each. They pre-dominated the song. The major instruments used to compose this song include drums, shakers and piano. It has an upbeat tune. The rhythm is engaging. There was also consistency in the style of rhythm. She sang in English.
