(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- FEVER BY IYANYA “I HAVE MISSED IYANYA’S MELODIOUS VOCAL, AND SEX…”

IG @ogefashblog.

“It’s Iyanya” I just said that in Iyanya’s voice though. I really miss Iyanya like craze. I don’t really know what happened and why he suddenly became so unnoticed in the music industry. or perhaps, he has not been singing. Iyanya was not only topping charts, but he was among the best musician everyone wanted to see perform on stage; especially the ladies, if you know what I mean.

Iyanya is a “ladies man,” and all ladies would want to have a taste of him! Oops; did I just say that? Kindly skip that line and focus on what I want to say next.

Really, I have missed Iyanya’s melodious vocal and sex appeal in songs. This is certainly a dope song. It’s now left for the Dj’s to make their list complete with a dope tune like “Fever” by Iyanya.

WHAT IS THE SONG “FEVER” BY IYANYA ALL ABOUT…

The word fever according to Google is an abnormally high body temperature, usually accompanied by shivering, headache, and in severe instances, delirium.

Fever by Iyanya is a love song whereby the artiste attaches his lack of fever otherwise called good health condition and total well being to his lover. This lover drives him crazy. Her presence around him gives him joy. He is so excited to have her as his woman and wants to be with her forever.

Lyrically: The song has just one verse. What predominated the song was the pre-chorus, chorus and post-chorus which was taken twice except for the pre-chorus which was taken thrice. In fact, the pre-chorus was taken six times. From the way he repeated the pre-chorus; it seems he enjoyed that part of the song more than any other part. This may be the reason he composed only one verse for the song. The lyrics are heartwarming and repetitive.  The lyrics are not deep enough; but the good thing is that the ones he employed are interesting to the ears.

Iyanya has got an appealing, rich and soulful vocal. He was consistent with his vocal quality. It is really good to see Iyanya back on the music chart after a while. This rhythm flows well. He was also consistent with the style of rhythm. He sang in Pidgin and Efik; a Nigerian language.

The major instruments used to compose this song include guitar, piano and drums. Although, I feel this beat is unoriginal and the artiste might have sampled the beat. The tune is kind of similar to “Rora” by Reekado Banks, especially the intro…What y’all think…

While I wait for your thoughts on this song, I gotz let you know that I love this visual; very interesting to watch and can certainly build one’s sexual tension. The video was shot outdoor; more like a beach.
