ABOUT THE SONG LIAR BY CAMILA CABELLO

Going by the definition of the word “Liar”, Camila sees herself as one with a false impression. This is because of her involvement with a common guy whom she had bragged not to have anything to do with.

In this song, Camila lies to people about not being interested in a certain guy, meanwhile behind their backs, she shows interest in the guy. She finds herself yearning for his touches. She fantasizes his lips on hers and his fingers moving all over her body; so this invariably makes her a liar.

The song comes in two verses. The chorus was taken thrice and the pre chorus twice. The melody is shapely and the artiste has a rich vocal. The major instruments used in the composition of this song include harp, piano and drum. The song features Zak Steiner, Keiynan Longdale, Nataliz Jimenez and Chelsea Brea.

LYRICS TO LIAR BY CAMILLA CABELLO

VERSE 1

I don’t care if you’re here
Or if you’re not alone
I don’t care, it’s been too long
It’s kinda like we didn’t happen
The way that your lips move
The way you whisper slow
I don’t care, it’s good as gone (uh)

PRE CHORUS

I said I won’t lose control, I don’t want it (ooh)
I said I won’t get too close, but I can’t stop it

CHORUS

Oh no, there you go, making me a liar
Got me begging you for more
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no
Oh no, there you go, you’re making me a liar
I kinda like it though
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no

VERSE 2

You’re watching, I feel it (hey)
I know I shouldn’t stare (yeah, yeah)
I picture your hands on me (I think I wanna let it happen)
But what if, you kiss me? (Yeah)
And what if, I like it?
And no one sees it

PRE CHORUS

I said I won’t lose control, I don’t want it (ooh)
I said I won’t get too close, but I can’t stop it (no)

CHORUS

Oh no, there you go, making me a liar
Got me begging you for more
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no (oh no)
Oh no, there you go, you’re making me a liar
I kinda like it though
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no

HOOK

Oh no, no, no
Don’t struggle, no, no
Startin’ up a fire

BRIDGE

Yeah, I don’t believe myself when I
Say that I don’t need you, oh
I don’t believe myself when I say it
So, don’t believe me

CHORUS

Oh no, there you go, you’re making me a liar
Got me begging you for more
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no
Oh no, there you go, you’re making me a liar
I kinda like it though
Oh no, there I go, startin’ up a fire
Oh no, no

OUTRO

Yeah, yeah, yeah. oh no no no no
Yeah, yeah, yeah  no oh oh oh
Oh no, no no, oh no no no, oh no you’re making me a liar
‘Cause my clothes are on the floor

Huh, uh, uh
Oh no, no, no
Startin’ up a fire
