Ayox ft Zlatan “Walking Dead [Tribute to Mohbad]” Song/Lyrics Breakdown
In the chorus, Ayox sings about what happens to people after their death. According to him, there would be more love [genuine and ingenuine] and there would be so many right and wrong assumptions about them. He says it is only God that knows how long one would live on earth. He says after everything, one [spirit] would return to God.
In verse 1 and the outro, Ayox sings about living the best of his life while still alive because he has only one chance to live it and doesn’t want to be full of regrets. He sings about his confidence in God. He says man is a walking dead which means someone that is still living but unsuspectingly is about to be lifeless. He implores people to show love while people are still alive. He also says heaven is one’s final residence after death and the earth is a temporary residence. He says no matter how long one works tirelessly on earth, one will still die. He implores people to do good before they leave the earth.
In verse 2, Zlatan talks about how the rich and the poor experience the troubles of the world, especially the poor. He also talks about how great talents keep dying. He wonders why the good ones have to die young and the bad ones live long. He prays for himself and others not to die. He says though the world is vanity, one must still toil to make ends meet and participate in an activity. Lastly, he prays that God judges whoever has a hand in Mohbad’s death.

Waking Dead means someone who unknowingly already has a very limited time to live but still moves around freely as he/she would live for longer years. Mohbad for instance could never have envisaged his death that day even though he said some people from his old record label, Marlian Record label were after his life.
“Walking Dead[Mohbad Tribute]” by Ayox ft Zlatan honors the late rapper, Mohbad. The artists implore people to live a good life while they are on earth because no matter how much they toil on earth, they will still eventually die. Just like the bible says, there is an appointed time to everything, and a time to die is part of it. According to them, people are loved more [genuinely and ingenuinely] after death, and there would be various speculations [right and wrong] about their death just like in the case of Mohbad. They pray that God exposes and Judges those that have a death in MOhbad’s death.

Brother when I’m there no more, people will love me more
Talk about the things I’ve done, discuss my right and wrong
While I’m lying dead on floor, when I can’t talk no more
If I go live forever, sebi oluwa lomo eh eh [If I would live forever, it’s the Lord that knows.]
Ero ki mama mi eh, ma tete wale oh [People, greet my mummy, I’ll come home quickly]
