In verses 1 and 2, Oxlade discovered via his Instagram that his lover was also dating other men which made him conclude that she was sluttish. Dave on his part seemed to be having trust issues. He doubts his partner’s faithfulness even though he described his relationship with her as a loving one. He also sang about the close bond they shared, how they go on holiday together and do other things together. He likened their relationship to that of Romeo and Juliet. Apparently, things changed suddenly.
