“Mom,” is a 2017 Bollywood drama from “Zee Studios” production house. It was produced by Boney Kapoor and distributed by Mad Films House. The major actors in the movie are Sridevi Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Aly, Adnan Siddiqui, and Abhimanyu Singh
What is the movie “Mom” about? Mom Synopsis
The story was about a young lady, Arya Sabarwal [Acted by Sajal Aly], the stepdaughter of a biology teacher, Devki Sabarwal [Acted by Sridevi]. Arya was also Devki’s student.
Arya refused to be close to Devki or accept her as a mum after her dad -Anand Sabarwal [Acted by Adnan Siddiqui] remarried.
Despite Arya’s unfriendly nature to Devki, Devki still showed her love and hoped that one day she would get to love her as well.
One day, Arya’s parents reluctantly allowed her to go to Valentine’s Day party at Zodiac Farms. At the party, Arya is kidnapped and gang raped by Mohit Chadda [Acted by Adarsh Gourav], Charles Deewan [Acted by Vikas Verma], Joginder “Jagan” Singh [Acted by Abhimanyu Singh], and farmhouse Security Guard Baburam Pandey [Acted by Pitobash Tripathy] for turning down their advances. They afterward strangled her and threw her into the gutter along the road. Arya miraculously survived the attack and mentioned her attackers.
However, Arya’s attackers who are from a rich background and due to insufficient evidence are freed and justice is not served. This left Arya more miserable.
This made Arya’s step-mum, Devki take laws into her hands. She solicited the help of a private investigator, Dayashankar Kapoor (“DK”) [Acted by Nawazuddin Siddiqui]. Dayashankar helped Devki get information on all Arya’s rapists. She then went after them, avenging those who s€xually molested Arya.
Will any rapist survive? Will Inspector Matthew Francis [Acted by Akshaye Khanna] arrest Devki?
