“Omo Ope” Asake ft Olamide meaning: What is the song “Omo Ope” about?

The word “Omo ope” is a Yoruba word in Nigeria that translates to “Thankful child”  in English.

In the song, Asake is thankful for the money and everything he has, and calls himself “Omo Ope.” That means someone full of thanks.

He plans to use his wealth to take liquor, buy expensive things, fl!rt with girls, party; to paint the town red non-stop. In essence, he is going to go out and enjoy himself in a vivid manner.

The artist seems to want to live a wayward life throwing caution to the wind.
