What does Nzaza mean?”
Nzaza,” is a word re-written from the Igbo word “Zaa.” It translates to “Answer” in English.
So “Nzaza” is like a repetition of “Answer” two times.

Asake “Nzaza” Song/Lyrics Breakdown

Just like the title of the song “Nzaza” which translates to “Answer, answer” in English, Asake is praying to God to answer his prayers and make his big dream come through as he is pushing. He is praying that God crowns his efforts with success amid envious people, people who don’t care about him, and people who have bad opinions about him and believe that he won’t be successful.

In verse 1, Asake sings about having a big dream where he was crowned with success. He believed in his dream, left home, and pursued it. He also said that one would be what one is destined to be even if it is delayed or if people try to change it. According to him, in his determination to make it, he kept pushing and prayed to God to make his dreams come through.

In verse 2, he sang about how people ignored him and did not care about him at all. He said he was also envied by friends. Asake also said people had a terrible opinion of him and believed he wouldn’t be successful. Today, his story has changed. He is living a good life. He wishes people what they wish him.

In the pre-chorus, Asake said one can not feast or make ends meet if the person is working. He also says no matter how little people look, you should not look down on them. He warns people not to look down on him and that he is not little.

In the chorus, Asake implores God to answer his prayers.
