WHAT IS THE SONG “OBINASOM” BY MERCY CHINWO ABOUT

The word “Obinasom” pre-dominated the song. Obinasom is an Igbo word in Nigeria which means I am happy or my heart is happy.

The artiste basically sings about how God makes her peaceful and over- happy in all ways. Because of God’s manifesting works in her life, people now refer to her as “Blessing” and “Favour.”  God has elevated and made her a new being, and because of this she has got abundant joy which she is telling people via this song.

You can now WhatsApp us on +2348087261006; we love to hear from you!

The song is interesting to the ears. It has two verses; the chorus was taken twice while the pre-chorus was taken thrice. Mercy basically sang in Igbo, a Nigerian language but fused it with pidgin. It is a slow tempo song. The major instruments used to compose song include piano, drums and shakers.

The video; hmm, I love it. Although, I can’t really correlate her outfit and look on that “horse ride” to other looks/outfits in various scenes of the music video.

Take a gander at the lyrics below.
