(+LYRICS +MEANING +TRANSLATION) PARTY ANIMAL BY CHINKO EKUN “I LOVE THIS MELODY CHINKO EKUN, CHINKO TIGER!

If there is one thing I like about Chinko Ekun, it is the manner in which he calls his name “Chinko Ekun…Chinko Tiger”  In all honesty, I love to replay that part. The way he calls that name carries a lot of vitality, confidence, and swag. Like he is confident of his musical talent and he believes that he is dishing melodious tunes to the public. Like, he can’t retire musically and would keep delivering good music…

No be say im proud o (Not that he is proud o); because some people would say he is proud.

Meanwhile, I don’t think he said “Chinko Ekun, Chinko Tiger” in his hit song “Able God ft Zlatan,” or did he? You can view the review here……. https://ogefash.reviews/2018/11/14/music-review-able-god/

WHAT IS THE SONG PARTY ANIMAL BY CHINKO EKUN ALL ABOUT

This song is a banger; I wonder why it is missing in DJ’s playlists. I am really imploring DJ’s to add this to their playlist because this na correct gbedu.

Ijokijo is a Yoruba word that may mean “so much dance” or “rugged dance” or “overjoyed dance” or “wild dance” or “naughty dance” or “ to dance non-stop”

The use of party animal is figurative and can be likened to human beings that love to party excessively.

The artiste used the song “Party animal” to call on people to party non-stop, to enjoy their life with their wealth and live their life to the fullest before exiting the world. Because in the real sense, once someone dies, the person is gone and can’t party. This he emphasized in the chorus and pre chorus..

View below

“Ti n ba ti gbo gbedu o ti pari (Saigobe) (Once I hear music; that’s all) (Goodbye)
Eni to ti ku ko le lo party; ko possible (The dead can’t go to the party; it is not possible)
I am happy and I know it. I gat money, I’ma spend it
Mo jaiye london, mo tun lo parry ( I am living/enjoying London life; and I go to party)

Party animal, party animal
Ijokijo lese (So much dance on one’s leg)”

The artiste also advises people to control themselves, so that they don’t get to misbehave when over excited or when having much fun.

SOME INTERESTING LINES

I love the line that he said the dead can’t party “Eni to ti ku ko le lo party; ko possible (The dead can’t go to the party; it is not possible)”

But I am wondering; what if the dead people have their own kind of party nko?

OTHER INTERESTING PUNCHY LINES

“Evil arrow gan ma gbese (Evil arrow would give way)
Awa la mu igboro dun awa ni party animal (We made the street interesting; we are party animal)
Mi n de ni fe yo ayokayo ki n lo gba eti Amina (I would not want to be too excited so that I don’t misbehave and slap Amina)

Wo n lo party ju microphone ati speaker lo (They can party more than microphone and speaker)
Awon party lion king ja ju Simba lo (Lion King party are more exposed than that of Simba)
Bi DJ play orin esu, won si ma sing along (Even of the SJ plays devil’s song, they swould still sing along)
T’eba fun won ni soft drink wani ki le mean  (If you give them soft drink, they would say what do you mean)
Butter o n se ounje obo ko kin je margarine (Butter is not monkey’s food and it doesn’t eat margarine)
Eni ti o m’aye je apada je ya ni (Anyone who doesn’t know how to enjoy life would end up suffering)”

Lyrically: I love the lyrics; so catchy, punchy, witty and interesting to the ears.  The song comes in two verses. The two verses have the same number of lines. The chorus and pre-chorus were taken twice. The lyrics are well written and are in array. The lyrics flow well on the beat. The artiste sang basically in Yoruba; a Nigerian language

Vocal: His vocal was clear and he was consistent with the vocal style.

Melody: This song is tuneful. It is a fast tempo beat. The major instruments used in the composition of the song include drums, piano and shakers.

As at the time of penning down thoughts on this song, the video has not yet dropped.
