(+LYRICS +MEANING +TRANSLATION)  MUSIC REVIEW: WAWA BY IBRAAH FT JOEBOY “HERE IS THE REALEST MEANING OF THE SONG WAWA”

Thank you @deucemercie for the English translation…

Wawa is a song by Tanzanian artiste- Ibraah ft Nigerian artiste- Joeboy. Ibraah is signed to Kondeboy records; a record label owned by Harmonize. I so love this song; it is so tuneful…

But wait o, what exactly are the artistes asking their baby mama to share with them?

Meanwhile, I noticed that Joeboy didn’t include his theme tune in this song “Joe Joeboy pon deck” So, what happen na?

WHAT IS THE SONG WAWA BY IBRAAH FT JOEBOY ABOUT

The song “Wawa” is a love song to a lady that has captured the artistes’ hearts.

In the song, the artistes have intense feelings for a particular lady. This lady drives them crazy and makes them happy. She fascinates them with her beauty and body; everything about this lady excites them. The artistes implore the lady to give them genuine and long-lasting affection as they vow to satisfy all her needs.

Lyrically: The lyrics are heart-warming, but not clear enough. The song comes in two verses. Verse one is lengthier than verse 2. The pre-chorus and chorus were taken twice. The artistes sang in Swahili.

MEANING OF SOME LINES

Baby share to me, ask anything; I go give them o my love

This means being comfortable around someone to the extent that you can open your heart to tell them about your fears, worries, needs, or otherwise.

Vocal: Their vocals are attractive and interesting to the ears. The artistes’ vocals are actually similar. Ibraah took the first verse, pre-chorus and chorus while Joeboy took the second verse, pre-chorus, and chorus. The artiste sang mostly in Swahili, but fused with Yoruba; a Nigerian Language. They were consistent with their vocal quality.

Melody: The melody is strong and interesting. It is a mid-tempo song with an afro-beat tune. There was consistency in the style of rhythm. The instrumentals are smooth, but not varied. The major instruments used in the composition of the song include drums and piano.

Take a gander at the lyrics below…

Kindly feel free to correct the translation, and also drop thoughts on the song.
