(+LYRICS +MEANING + TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW: DOINGS BY CHINKO EKUN FT ZLATAN “YEYE LYRICS!”

Ah ah, nawa o, which kain lyrics Chinko Ekun and Zlatan compose for this song titled “Doings?” This na yeye lyrics o! Ah even this song na doings; but doings by the enemy.

Sorry, apologies for those that do not understand pidgin. In summary, what I said is that the song “Doings” by Chinko Ekun ft Zlatan has feeble lyrics.

I am really, really beginning to have an issue with musicians that think lyrics must be lewd, vulgar, or its likes before the song gains recognition; it really doesn’t work that way…Or, maybe you just have to be a martian first #Winks…

Moving on, the song “Doings” could have been another hit like Able God recorded and performed by the duo and Lil Kesh. They killed it in the song “Able God”, but this particular track, is really nothing to write home about…They just wasted the beat…

The beat, which is strong, tuneful, and engaging, has the singers chanting the catchy phrase ‘Doings” all through the song, however, their poor lyrics downgraded the beauty of the beat and the entire song. I am sure that’s why the song has poor streams; 100,000 pere…The person that gave them direction during the recording of this song did not direct them well.

WHAT IS THE SONG DOINGS BY CHINKO EKUN FT ZLATAN ALL ABOUT

“Doings” means an activity that one is engaged in…

In the song, the artistes show off their various activities. They also brag about their immense wealth, and what they are capable of doing with it. According to them, with their sufficient wealth, they can be living la Vida Loca, have all manners of pleasure, unwind the way they feel, travel around daily, live waywardly, partake in showy generosity, be promiscuous, have an unquestionable lifestyle, live extra-large, do and undo without minding whose ox is gored.

Lyrically: The artistes sang majorly in Yoruba; a Nigerian language, but fused it with pidgin. The song has four verses. Zlatan took only verse 3 while Chinko Ekun took others, I believe. The chorus was taken four times and there was no consistency or organization in the chorus. The lyrics are offensive, sexual, bamboozling, and disorganized.

I think artistes should always listen to the lyrics and clarity of their song before dropping it, or better still ask people’s opinions before releasing it. These lyrics lack flesh compared to the lyrics for Able God. If not because Ogefash Photoblog loves translating songs, we would have dropped this song in Ogefash photoblog bin.

I am wondering why Zlatan and Chinko Ekun have to sing almost the same lyrics….

Vocal: Their vocals are unclear. The beat either overshadowed their vocals or they did not sing clearly.  I could barely hear them. It took me extra hours to write out these lyrics. Party animal is way better than this song!

Melody: The song has a great beat, but it was not properly utilized. It is a fast-tempo beat. The melody is tuneful, strong, and engaging. The major instruments used in the composition of the song include drum and piano.

Kindly take a gander at the lyrics below..

Please feel free to correct the lyrics and translations via the comment box. Also, drop your thought on the song “Doings” by Chinko Ekun ft Zlatan, thanksss.
