WHAT IS THE SONG “ESCAPE BY AKON AND WIZKID ALL ABOUT

To “escape” means to vanish, disappear, runoff; basically all the synonyms of escape suit the meaning of “escape” as well as the meaning of the song.

Escape is a love song by Akon and Wizkid to someone they love greatly and can’t live without. These ladies they love are incomparable, rare gems, and have different touch and effect on them compared to other ladies.

The artistes are willing to let go everything just to be with the ladies they love. They are willing to risk everything just to spend the rest of their lives with them. They are willing to run off with their lovers to any place where there would be no interference in their love life.

The artistes say “A home without them is homeless.” They have built an entire life around their lovers; hence, living life without them is meaningless. They have given their lovers the access to their heart; no one else can access it except them.

Lyrically: The lyrics are meaningful, detailed, heartwarming and are in order. I love the use of vocabulary; they are not everyday words, and they would help expand people’s vocabulary. The lyrics come in two verses taken by Wizkid and Akon respectively. The chorus was taken thrice while the pre chorus was taken twice by both artistes. The lyrics flow well on the beat. The artistes sang basically in English; no pidgin, no fusion of any other language.

THE MEANING OF SOME LINES

“You know the keys to my heart, you got it” means that someone knows you better than any other person and can access you anytime; whether in good or bad moods.
“Nobody else really make me feel like you do” means to be unique among others. To have an effect on someone in a way no one has ever done”
“And even if the wheels fall off, we’re riding” means to still be with someone against all odds. To still have a strong relationship despite challenges.

Vocal: The artistes’ have got appealing vocals.  Their vocals are interesting to the ears. Their vocal can build listeners’ interest in this song. They have got clear vocals and there was also consistency in their vocal quality.

Melody: It is very tuneful. Although, it has a similar tune with “Bedroom” a song by Psquare and Akon. What y’all think?

The major instruments used in composing the song include drums, piano and guitar. As at the time of reviewing this song, the video has not yet dropped. I am hoping the artiste drop a video for this song!
