(+LYRICS+MEANING + TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW OJORO BY TERRI “YEAHHH, OUR STAR BOY TERRI IS NOW LOOKING VERY DAPPER AND…

When it comes to releasing songs, Terri has been the most consistent of all the Star Boy artistes. Remember Terri in the song soco right? View the review here https://ogefash.reviews/2018/07/11/lyrics-translation-music-review-soco-ft-wizkid-terri-spotless-ceeza-milli-what-is-really-still-keeping-this-song-on-airwaves/

Ehen, the last time I saw Star Boy Terri, he was not looking dapper like this o; ego dikwa nma ( As in, money is really good )

Honestly, Terri is not only looking dapper, but he is looking finer; owo e ti han nisi lori ara e (As in, his money is now showing on his body)

By the way, did I just see the video vixen (Adanna) remove Terri’s wallet to gain his attention? Make she go try am for outside the music video scene; na anopa, wa lu e, o si ku (As in if you take someone’s wallet (A stranger in particular) to get the person’s attention outside the music video; they may beat you to death)

In essence, those things only happen in music videos, no go try am outside o..

WHAT IS THE SONG OJORO BY TERRI ALL ABOUT

The word ojoro is a Yoruba word in Nigeria. It means “Cheat” or “Deceiver” or “Trick.”

In the song, Terri shows interest in a beautiful lady that he is crazy, about and that has over time pre-occupied his mind; even though he tries to get her off his mind. He vows to take care of her financially and materially if she agrees to be his woman.  However, the lady is proving difficult to get and acting cunningly.

Lyrically: The song has three verses, the pre-chorus and chorus were taken thrice each.  The artiste sang in pidgin and fused with some Yoruba words which have been translated in the lyrics below.

Vocal: Terri’s vocal sounds so much like that of Wizkid. Or, did Wizkid add his vocal in the background? What y’all think?

Melody: The song is quite tuneful. The major instruments used to compose the song include drums, piano, and harp.
