(+LYRICS +MEANING +TRANSLATION)  MUSIC REVIEW: WOMAN BY RUDEBOY “MELODIOUS, BUT…”

This song is so melodious, but wait o, did I hear that people were complaining about this song? They need to clean their ears again…

Some people are just haters, and the most annoying thing is that haters’ voices are always so loud and promoted in such a way that they discourage meaningful people from listening to or viewing a good song. Please, ndi madu di sensible ( as in those sensible people), close your ears to what haters are saying about this song, cause it is so melodious.

Aside from being melodious, this song is fan-freaking-stic. I even thought people were going to criticize the beat; since it is a sampled beat from a particular foreign song.  I can’t place the title of the foreign song right now, but if you can; kindly share it with us via the comment box…

But really, even if the beat was sampled; sampling beat is not relatively new in the Nigeria Music industry; just ensure you acknowledge that you did…

WHAT IS THE SONG WOMAN BY RUDEBOY ABOUT

In the song, the artiste- Rudeboy says that any man who desires to see specific qualities in his woman should develop those qualities in the woman. Hence, sitting back and waiting for a perfect woman may not be realistic, but what is realistic is building the woman into the perfect way you want them to be. You can develop a person’s looks, business, lifestyle, religious status, finance, and more.

He equally calls on women not just to wait for the rich man to locate them, but can also get a man and make him that rich man that they desire…

The chorus of this song explains it all. View below…

If you dey find this woman; pretty woman

That perfect woman wey go dey by your side

That God fearing woman; that kind of woman

Brother go build am yourself”

Lyrically: The song comes in two verses; verses one and two have the same number of lines. The chorus was taken four times while the post-chorus twice. The lyrics are in sequence and are well written. There is really a tremendous change to Rudeboy’s lyrics; they are more intelligent and well-composed now. The lyrics flow very well on the beat. The artiste sang basically in pidgin. The song is meaningful as it asks people who are looking for perfect ones if they are perfect themselves, if they are not, they should build the qualities they want in the person they are with till they get the best in them

Vocal: He has got a clear vocal and an appealing vocal. He was consistent with his vocal quality and did not go out of tune.

Melody: The song is melodic. There was consistency in the style of rhythm. The major instruments used in composing the song include drums, piano, and guitar. The instruments are balanced and well-coordinated.

The video was shot in Aktivated studio, but I hope there would be a real video for this song…

Take a gander at the lyrics below
