WHAT IS THE SONG WAKE UP DEAD BY T-PAIN FT CHRIS BROWN ALL ABOUT

To wake up dead means to be lifeless. It is when you sleep and you are unable to wake up from that sleep.

Wake up dead by the duo- T-pain and Chris Brown is a love song about a lady they love dearly and want to be with. The artistes liken the absence of this particular lady in their lives as the same thing as waking up dead. They therefore implore the lady to stick with them and never leave them.

This they emphasized in the chorus. View below…

“I don’t wanna wake up deadddd, ooh ooh
If I ain’t got you, then I’m already gone
Baby, don’t leave me alone”

LYRICALLY: The lyrics are in sequence. The lyrics are heartwarming also. Some of the lyrics also have sexual undertones especially Chris Brown’s verse 2…View some of them below…

“I want it all, now, baby
Eat you up ’cause it’s dinner time
Girl, you better play nice
Just wait for it, amma make you work this time, oh oh”

The lyrics come in three verses. Verse one was the joint vocals of T-pain and Chris Brown, while verse 2 and 3 was taken by Chris Brown and T-Pain respectively. They both took the pre-chorus and chorus. They sang in English.

I love the use of vocabulary in this song.

MEANING OF SOME LINE(S)

I CAN’T GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD.

This means that you can’t get someone or something off your mind; even when you try to, you constantly think of them

.

VOCAL: They have got appealing and interesting to the ears vocals. They were consistent with their vocal quality all through the entire duration of the track. I love T-pains modulation in the latter part of the song; he did not go screechy.

MELODY: So tuneful. The rhythm flows well. The artistes also flowed well on the beat. There was also consistency in the style of rhythm. The major instruments used to compose the song include drum, guitar and piano.

As at the time of penning down thoughts on this song, the video has not yet dropped…

Take a gander at the lyrics

LYRICS TO WAKE UP DEAD BY TPAIN FT CHRIS BROWN

INTRO
Oh no, no
Oh no, yeah
Ooh ooh, ooh na na
Yeah, yeah, yeah  yeah yeah

VERSE 1 (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

Sleepless nights tryna learn how to die in my sleep
‘Cause I don’t wanna be the one to wake up without a heartbeat
Trust me, you’re gonna love this thing, you’ll see
Baby, just tell me you’re gonna love me and I’ll admit defeat

It ain’t that deep, deep, deep, deep-deep, deep, no
You know I’d kill for some of your real feelings
Oh, no, it ain’t that sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet-sweet, sweet, no
Just as long as you’re the one who kills me

PRE CHORUS (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, wake up dead, wake up dead
‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, wake up dead, oh oh oh
‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead; I don’t wanna turn up missing.
I can’t get you out of my head. Baby, I just needed you to listen

CHORUS (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

I don’t wanna wake up deadddd, ooh ooh
If I ain’t got you, then I’m already gone

Amma take twenty-three shots of Patron
‘Cause, gonna keep coming back home
I don’t wanna wake up

VERSE 2 (CHRIS BROWN)

Oh my gosh, she tryna kill me in my sleep
Rough sex, making you my enemy, oh woah oh
Can I be honest, baby?
I kinda like the fact that you kinda crazy
Yeah! You bipolar just like me

That ain’t a problem, baby, no, no
Girl, you soaking wet, ’cause I’m making it rain
Come on, hop in the passenger and swerve in my lane
You gotta back it upon me three times
I want it all, now, baby
Eat you up ’cause it’s dinner time
Girl, you better play nice
Just wait for it, amma make you work this time, oh oh

PRE CHORUS (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, wake up dead, wake up dead

Amma take twenty-three shots of Patron
Gonna keep coming back home
I don’t wanna wake up

VERSE 3 (T PAIN)

Oh oh oh oh
Ecstasy eh got me losing my brain oh oh
She’s my grim reaper, I’m in love with it
It’s only been twenty four hours, I should probably go and get me some rest
But the way that time’s been moving backwards
I’ve been here xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Babe, babe, babe, babe-babe, babe (Yeah)
What the fuck? Like, what’s up?
Why you do me that way-yyyyyyy?
I can put my heartbeat in my head
You got me staying in this bed

PRE CHORUS (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, wake up dead, wake up dead
‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, wake up dead, oh oh oh
‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead; I don’t wanna turn up missing.
But I can’t get you out of my head. Baby, I just need you to listen

CHORUS (T-PAIN AND CHRIS BROWN)

I don’t wanna wake up deadddd, ooh ooh
If I ain’t got you, then I’m already gone
Baby, don’t leave me alone

‘Cause I don’t wanna wake up dead, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Amma take twenty-three shots of Patron
Gonna keep coming back home
I don’t wanna wake up
