(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW: SUZANNA BY SAUTI SOL “HERE IS WHAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT”

IG @ogefashblog.

If there is one thing I first of all like about this song; it is the melodious rhythm, next, the appealing vocals of one of the best African band- Sauti Sol; this song is dope.

ABOUT THE SONG SUZANNA BY SAUTI SOL

The song is about a lady- Suzanna whom the artistes admire so much. They describe the lady as the kind of lady that  God blessed with a perfect character, beauty, and good shape. However, Suzanna’s good character changed over time as she met a man who provided her with lots of money. She became materialistic and started struggling with self-worth. She changed the color of her skin, started using various body enhancements like the silicone butt pads to enhances her bum and so on.

Hence, the artistes who are so concerned about her and the health implication in the future, use this song to make Suzanna understand that she needs to come back to her senses as well as appreciate her beauty before she ruins herself.

The song comes in three verses, the chorus was taken three times while the pre chorus was taken twice. The lyrics are detailed and meaningful. It is a melodious rhythm, and the band was consistent with the style of rhythm. The rhythm is also enganing; there is no way you would listen to this tune and it won’t grab your attention. You would no doubt notice the song when it comes on air and sing along as well. The major instrumenents used in the composition of this song include drums, piano and percussion.
