ABOUT THE SONG “OWO” BY CDQ

The word “Owo” is a Nigerian Yoruba word that means “Money.” Owo se koko, when translated to English means “Money is important.

The artiste used this song to emphasize the importance of money. CDQ reveals how much he desires money which is the reason he doesn’t mix business with pleasure or do anything that would puncture or affect his chances of getting money. He further says the way money is entering his account is in-explainable, all he knows is that he has sufficient money to share with people, pop champagne, throw parties and tour the world. He enjoins people to work hard if they desire to be rich “No hustle, no struggle” he says.

He also talks about haters monitoring his success as well as people pretending to like him; especially those that are quick to like his Instagram pictures.

This “OWO” tune by CDQ is quite similar to Ikechukwu’s old tune titled ” Now it’s time.”  It also has the same intro with Olamide’s song titled “Woske” What ya think?

The song “OWO” comes in two verses. The pre-chorus and chorus were taken thrice each. The song is quite interesting, but his vocal was not clear at some point. The artiste sang in pidgin and “Yoruba” a Nigerian Language. The major instruments used in the composition of the song include drum and piano.
