ABOUT THE SONG- TO LOSE YOU TO LOVE ME
This is a love song no doubt; but a one-sided love. In the song, Selena Gomez talks about being in a relationship with someone but the person did not reciprocate her love. This person didn’t love her back the way she loved him despite the fact that she placed him high; that is, she made him more important than any other thing or person in her life. She was so emotionally attached to the guy that she gave her all to him even when it was obvious that she was the only one doing the loving.
We can tell from the lyrics that she sacrificed all for the guy she loved; she gave all things up for him as well as adjusted her lifestyle just to suit his. Meanwhile the one thing this guy in question promised Selena (He promised her the world); he was never truthful to it.
Moving on, in order for Selena Gomez to get his attention, make him love and desire her just the way she loves and desires him; she decided to give him some space, hoping that he would realize his flaws, fix it and then return to her. But that didn’t happen as he ended up leaving her so easily. The guy moved on immediately with another lady and made it look like he is punishing her for a relationship offence committed by her.
However, Selena is over him, she doesn’t intend going back to him or rekindling the romance between them. She says it is over!
I love the chorus- so melodious. Selena has an appealing voice. She sang expressively to the beat. The rhythm flows wells and the lyrics are well written. The song comes in two verses, the pre chorus was taken twice while the chorus was taken thrice. The major instrument used include piano.

This line may mean that despite how much she loved him, he only destroyed her feelings for him, her joy and being.

This may mean letting go of that you cherish for a while so that the person may realize his flaws and then find a way to fix it.

This means that she placed the person very high. Made him more important than anything or anyone in her life. In essence, she considers anything about him first before considering others.

She is finding every possible means to heal herself from the heart break and get get her groove back
“Go into it blindly”
This may mean that since people are always excite about being in a relationship with someone they love or that will love them, they may ignore whatevr warning signs or may not get any information about the person or think about it and jumt jump into it.
