In essence, the song “Circles” may mean that the artiste and his significant other have been running in circles concerning their relationship. The artiste says there is no chemistry between them again, so they plan to break up but they have not been to do so. Every of their action, word and argument insinuate a break-up, still they stick together. Whenever they try to make the relationship work, it only goes worse.
