(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- ALL GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL BY BILLIE EILISH “HERE IS WHY BILLIE EILISH THINKS ALL THE GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL!”

IG@ogefashblog.

Well, If all the good girls are going to hell, certainly I am not one of them (By God’s grace ni o) #winks.

But that’s the truth. I don’t wanna be among the good girls that would go to hell. Why then waste my time being a good girl despite the numbers of temptations that come the ways of humans especially ladies.

That’s by the way sha

So, I think the first time I

heard about Billie Eilish and her songs was on Cardi B’s Instagram page when she shared a post of “Apple music” most streamed female artistes in 2019. My attention drew to the name that kept popping up on this “Apple music” list for different songs.

So, I immediately took interest in her and her songs.

You just have to give kudos to the brain behind the cinematography. It has got an atmospheric intro that would no doubt build viewers interest and make them watch the entire song. Billie Eilish has got the Lady Gaga and Katy Perry style of video.

ABOUT THE SONG “ALL THE GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL” BY BILLIE EILISH

Aside the fact that it has a banging beat, you can’t help but notice all the effects used in the song. The song has a very catchy intro that would fuel the curiosity of music lovers. Even non music lovers would be forced to watch to the end………

So, the song basically talks about the imperfection of humans. According to the artiste, it is nearly impossible to live on earth without compromising. For this reason, she believes there are no saints again as the saints have been corrupted by the bad ones. The meaning of the song may be similar to what the Bible says in Psalm 14 verses 2&3.

In essence, no matter how righteous you may claim to be, there is still this unrighteousness somewhere in you which would not let you make heaven.

The artiste also used this song to explain how humans are the major causes of the problems they face on earth; these problems end up consuming them.

THE VIDEO

If you watch the video very well, you would notice she was wearing a white cloth, after which it was torn on her body. She was afterwards injected with a syringe and two big black wings protruded from behind her. She falls off the sky into an oily substance first before fire engulfs her. This appears to me like a fallen angel who is now a demon terrorizing the earth.

REMARKABLE

I really love the video. They made the night scene real. I could hear the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves and every other sound that accompanies the night.

The song has two verses. The pre chorus, chorus and hook were taken. The lyrics especially the chorus are catchy. The lyrics are well written, punchy, organized and expands the vocabulary of listeners.

The song lasted for about 3 minutes 41 seconds. The real song did not start until 46 seconds of the track.

The rhythm flows well, it however sounds like one of Eminem’s old tune; I can’t place the song now, but when I do, amma let y’all know. The major instruments used in the song include- drums, piano, harp, and guitar.

LYRICS TO – ALL GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL BY BILLIE EILISH

INTRO

HOOK

My Lucifer is lonely

VERSE 1

Standing there, killing time
Can’t commit to anything but a crime
Peter’s on vacation, an open invitation
Animals, evidence
Pearly gates look more like a picket fence
Once you get inside theem
Got friends but can’t invite them

PRE-CHORUS

Hills burn in California
My turn to ignore ya
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya

CHORUS

All the good girls go to hell
‘Cause even God himself has enemies
And once the water starts to rise
And heaven’s out of sight
She’ll want the devil on her team

HOOK

My Lucifer is lonely

VERSE 2

Look at you needing me
You know I’m not your friend without some greenery
Walk in weary fetters
Peter should know better
Your cover up is caving in
Man is such a fool
Why are we saving him?
Poisoning themselves now
Begging for our help, wow!

PRE CHORUS

Hills burn in California
My turn to ignore ya
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya

CHORUS

All the good girls go to hell
‘Cause even God himself has enemies
And once the water starts to rise (Starts to rise)
And heaven’s out of sight
She’ll want the devil on her team

OUTRO

My Lucifer is lonely
There’s nothing left to save now
My god is gonna owe me
There’s nothing left to save now
