The song “T’esumole” started with the chorus. When you first listen to the chorus, you would envisage the verse(s) to follow suit. But does it follow suit? No, If I hear say im follow suit; Naira Marley is just a “lewd fanatic”. The chorus says one thing and the verse another. The chorus talks about lifting your leg to trample upon or step on the devil. One would have thought Naira Marley would use such chorus to build lovely lyrics for the verse, but the verse was empty.  The verse di (is) so sleepy; it is weak.

By the way,  the manner in which Naira Marley used the name Jesus, is better than the manner in which Olamide used it in the song “Mary and Jesus” it was so absurd.

Moving on, such reasonable chorus “Sebi omo jesu ni e? Gbese ko t’esu mole…” should have been accompanied with reasonable lyrics in the verse. He could have at least continued in the verse by advising people to step on corruption, robbery, prostitution, smoking, drugs, alcohol, the urge to commit murder or other bad vices, but that was not the case.

These were the only things he talked about in the verse

Dakosta (Whoever that is, I really don’t know) is wearing the same number 10 Jersey with Okocha; how children should shun marijuana because it is not for their age (By the way, this to me was the only reasonable line in the verse);  how people want to taint his image by making him look like the devil; how girls with big ass are using their bum to make men crash; how breeze blows off pants from clothesline; how breeze removes people’s pants from their bum (Now, how that one take concern t’esumole biko); gbogbo verse yi ko ni meaning rara (All the lyrics in the verse have no meaning at all.)

In summary, the entire song does not correlate with the chorus. The song has just one verse. The chorus was taken four times- full chorus twice and half chorus taken twice in the latter part of the song. The beat is nice. The major instruments used in the song include  drum, percussion and piano

I love their costumes, their uniformity in the choreography; they reminded me of Youth Corpers. The camera did not however focus on those ladies’ dance step but mainly on Naira Marley’s moves and it was just once…

For a new dance step like that, the video director should have zoomed his camera constantly to their choreography.

Meaning of some words
