I really don’t know why I like this song. Of all the songs in Davido’s “Good time” album, I keep jamming this particular song . I think this is actually my best song from the album.

ABOUT THE SONG “ONE THING” BY DAVIDO
To want “One thing” means to desire something or someone above everything. Davido used the word “One thing” to emphasize how much he desires a particular lady above everything in life. According to him, he searched tirelessly for this lady among London girls but she was not there. However, one day, she finally came his way.
So who is that lady you think he has been wanting? If you ask me, na his girlfriend- Chioma o, aka Mama Ifeanyi aKa Mama David. But, for Chioma, the one thing she has been wanting is a child for Davido who would have a different sex from other Davido’s baby mama’s (Sophia and Amanda) children. This, Chioma revealed on her Instagram page where she played and danced to the song “one thing” and posted a picture of a boy as the “one thing” she has been wanting.
All through the song however, he never mentioned what really made that lady the “one thing” he has been wanting except where he talked about her body that drives people crazy in the verse 2. View below

It is appalling that in an interesting tune like this, Davido couldn’t sing a line about the girl’s character that makes him “so want” her, and makes him search tirelessly for her aside her body; omashe (What a pity)
But all in all, the song is cool. It is neither too slow and nor too fast. The major instruments used include harp, piano and drums. The song is melodic. It has an afrobeat mix. The song comes in two verses. The artiste sang basically in English but fused some lines with few Yoruba words (A Nigerian Language) in the intro. He sang the chorus thrice and the pre chorus twice. As at the time of writing this review, the video for the song has not dropped. I really wish he would release the video for this song.
