“Nka ale leche, kenewo kenecho. Nka tuneba nege meje kiniwo”

Except the artiste means “Think properly before you make a decision, and be sure there is nothing wrong with the decision you made before you act” What ya think? Hint me biko (Please) via the comment box…

So about the song important by 2Baba

The word “Important” means significant. The artiste used the song “important” to call on people to pay attention to every detail whether minute or big in order not to fall victim to fraud, deception, lies or implication.

He implores people to be smart, fearless, active, up and doing in order not to be captured by those who just want to use them for their selfish purposes and then dump them afterwards.

He also warns people to be careful when dealing with politicians so that they don’t use their wealth to confuse their brains. He also encourages people to keep standing on their ground and not be moved by whatever people do or say.

He also says people should avoid anyone or anything that would make them sell their birthright (The right, privilege, possession one is entitled to by birth) or human right. Some of those rights include, the right to life, liberty, privacy, equality before the law, personal security, freedom of opinion, freedom from discrimination among others.

ButI no come know wetin concern “Yash” in this song? The artiste must have used the “yash” to try to draw attention, but at the end it did not. Infact radio stations won’t want to play this song because of the repeated use of the word “Yash”, except they edit it sha. But in truth, in the context he used it; it was totally unnecessary. He could have easily used another word for it.

The song comes in two verses. The pre chorus and chorus were taken twice each. The hook was taken more than twice as it was used as the outro. Important by 2Baba is a fast tempo song. The artiste sang both in pidgin and in Benue language (For now, can’t figure out which of the Benue languages he sang.) The major instruments used in the song include the drums, piano and guitars and percussion.

For the video; I am really still trying to figure out what to say…
