(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- “ALL FOR YOU”  AND “BLESSING” BY JOEBOY “EHEN! JUST LIKE THAT…”

IG@ogefashblog.

For this “All for you” song, I don’t even know whether I should agree with this video or disagree with the video; I am really in between.

My people “lee ya anya o” (as in look at it o); can you just imagine? Joeboy was having a nice time with his babe, when a lady showed up craving his attention. Instead of him to let the lady know that he is already “deeply” involved with another lady and has no space for another lady his heart; he didn’t. Instead, he started flirting with the lady which made his girlfriend walk away. And in the latter part of the video, I saw both of them tie the knot. I am like, ehen! Just like that? Na so e dey happen? Hmm, now you understand why I said I am in between regarding this video.

If you ask me; I would say the audio says one thing and the video another. The track is about doing everything possible to please the one you love, but the visual looks to me like a visual encouraging people to snatch other people’s spouse. Don’t think so? kindly hint us via the comment box…

Anyway, about the song “All for you” by Joeboy

First of all, I must say Joeboy is fast becoming a force to reckon with in the Music industry. I always love Joeboy’s visuals even though it seems like the they are beginning (View the review here https://ogefash.reviews/2019/09/18/lyricsmeaningtranslation-music-review-beginning-by-joeboy-why-does-the-beginning-of-the-song-sound-like-burna-boys-on-the-low/ ) to be the same concept. He is even using the same characters. Do you doubt me? Then check out this muscular guy and the lady used in the visualizer…

Now you agree right? Perhaps Joeboy wants to be known for that particular storyline, characters and concept.

So about the song jare, before I deviated like deviation…

The artiste used the word “All for you” to emphasize how much he cares for a lady and how much he is willing to give up everything just for her sake and just to be with her. It is also about a lady who is ready to give up everything (Including her boyfriend) just to be with the man her heart longs for.

In the song,Joeboy assures the lady to be 100% faithful and assures her that “o ma wa alright”, as in she would be okay in the relationship. He calmed every fear or doubt she had about the relationship and assured her that he would always be there for her.

Something worth mentioning about Joeboy’s songs is that they are always organized, lyrically and musically. The entire lyrics composition and rendition of the tune are always in agreement.  He doesn’t have to write too lengthy lyrics to get the message of a song across to his fans; with few words and repeated lyrics, his songs still end up melodious.

The major instruments used in the song are the piano, drums and percussion. The song has only one verse which was repeated again in the latter part of the song.  The pre chorus and chorus were taken twice each while the post chorus was taken one.

Take a gander at the lyrics below

(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- “BLESSING” BY JOEBOY

“Blessing” is another interesting tune by Joeboy that I so love. The artiste in this song ask for continuous blessings from God. He implores God not to neither forget him when blessing other people nor put his matter aside. He also implores God to send divine aid his way and reward all his handwork.

The artiste via this song also makes people know how often he fasts and prays to get a speedy answer from God.

Joeboy uses this song to advise people not to be too anxious about  being wealthy or anything at all, but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, they should present their requests to God and their time would certainly come (Philippians 4:6-7)

Meaning of some lines

“Na why I dey pray and fast o, make my matter make e no go cast o (Yeah yeah yeah)”

What this line means is that he is praying and fasting unto God so that his blessings can be speedy and his matter wont be forgotten, put aside or delayed.

The major instruments used in the song include the drums and piano. The song is not too lengthy. It has two verses and the chorus was taken thrice. The artiste has a very appealing vocal.  As at the time of writing about this song, the video is yet to be out.
